Honor KINOSHITA(Age 23)

After graduating from college, he worked at a local boutique before moving to Tokyo to join "1LDK," where he currently works. During her college years, she aspired to become a teacher. On her days off, she is an active person who works up a healthy sweat playing basketball and skateboarding. His latest hobby is going to live shows of his favorite HIPHOP artists.

How did you feel about the actual bag?

The colors are also calm, and I feel that this bag can be styled in any way you like. The design is also minimalist, but the switch between leather and canvas is accentuated, and it looks good styled, so I think it will be useful when you go out shopping.

What are your criteria for choosing a bag, and what is your mileage when choosing a bag?

I usually use a small bag, but I am not good at storing things, so I place importance on functionality. I try to choose carefully selected models that have pockets for small compartments and are easy to use.

What is your impression of the Tumi brand and the items in its lineup?

Many of them come in chic colors that can be used for business use, and many of the items are full of functionality, such as durability of materials and volume of pockets.

Who are the people who have influenced you the most? Please also tell us why.

I have always loved movies, and Jay Adams in "Lords of Dogtown" was also the catalyst for this. I was immediately attracted to Jay Adams because of his underground attitude, not flirting with those around him despite his prodigious skating talent. From there, I began to delve into various aspects of skateboarding, and my insight into fashion also expanded.

What kind of person do you think has good taste?

A person who is single-mindedly devoted to the things he loves. Music for music, fashion for fashion. However, he or she also moves easily between genres, and each is linked to his or her own style, or he or she has a solid background in the way of life itself or in his or her favorite field.

What led you to your current job?

Until I graduated from university, I worked at a select store in my hometown of Mie Prefecture. I felt that I wanted to propose things that I really thought were good from the standpoint of a consumer who buys clothes. This made me determined to go to the city, and I joined "1LDK," which I personally went to and liked the most.

He said, "What I always have in my bag are basically all things related to personal grooming. In summer, I sweat a lot, so a towel and fragrance are essential. I also often carry sunglasses for those days when the sun is strong. And chocolate cookies to fill my small stomach during breaks from work. I also need a hand-held WI-FI router when outdoors, as my smartphone's speed is quickly limited!

Toshiho Seya(Age 23)

He joined "SHIPS" right after graduating from high school. His specialties are tennis and swimming, and he has recently begun to take an interest in food as well.

In what situation would you like to use the bag you used this time?

I would like to use it not only for daily use, but also as a second bag for business trips, which are likely to increase in the future. A bag that can carry only the things that are frequently used in one's immediate surroundings is very useful when going on a long trip, isn't it?

What do you pay attention to in styling when using the bag?

I usually wear bags as a color accent to coordinate with my outfits, rather than for function or practicality, so I am conscious of whether they can be used as such a point of reference. The key is to choose a design that fits in with the styling and does not make too much of a statement.

What is your impression of the Tumi brand and the items in its lineup?

In fact, Tumi is a brand with which I am personally very familiar, as we have also developed a special-order business-centered series. In the past, I had the impression that they were "the business bag," but this series of items overturned that idea and had a freshness that betrayed me in a good way.

Please tell us about your daily work and your role in the company.

I am in charge of buying as well as product planning for our original goods. I am learning every day, and each day goes by quickly, but it is worthwhile.

What is your recommended holiday plan?

I go out at noon, have lunch, and then go shopping at vintage clothing stores, department stores, and select stores. Recently, I am also interested in art museums.

What is your ideal image of Stedei?

You are someone who digs deep into things that interest you. People who know things they don't know are attractive, aren't they? Also, someone with a nice smile.

Since I became a buyer, I have become more conscious of dressing and grooming myself in a way that suits the occasion, so I also carry a care kit with me these days. Also, the Marquee Player sneaker cleaner has recently become my favorite item!

He is also known as a genuine HIPHOP freak.

What is your impression of the Tumi brand and the items in its lineup?

When I think of items that symbolize a "sophisticated bag brand for the business scene," the first thing that comes to mind is a travel bag. However, it was a good discovery to know that there is a lineup of bags that can be used for casual occasions as well, which I had not imagined before, in a good sense.

What are your criteria for choosing a bag, and what is your mileage when choosing a bag?

First, does it have a high degree of ordinariness to match any style?

What do you pay attention to in styling when using the bag?

I sometimes dress casually, sometimes with a street touch, and sometimes with a mode atmosphere, but in general, what I value is "elegance. In that sense, the bag I used this time has a sense of elegance in itself, so I felt that it is highly compatible with my own style.

What is your favorite music, movie, and book, respectively?

For music, I would say "COUCOU CHLOE/FLIP U", for movies, "Mulholland Drive" by David Lynch, and for books, "Camille Henrot/Elephant Child".

Who are the people who have influenced you the most? Please also tell us why.

Mr. Taro Motoi. He was an instructor at a prep school I attended when I was in high school, and he is a mentor who has injected into me the "ism" that I need now that I am a working adult, and by extension, in the press industry, where quick and accurate communication is required. This ism has also been useful to me in researching trends and new culture.

What kind of person do you think has good taste?

How did you feel about the actual bag?

The simple yet elegant design will give you a mature impression just by wearing it. The camouflage pattern design is also cool!

In what situation would you like to use the bag you used this time?

Since it is a shoulder type, it is easy to take luggage in and out, and I would like to use it when I am skating, for example. I could also use it for going to school for classes or other activities where I don't have a lot of luggage.

It must be easy to use, yet well designed. Other than that, I guess it's my mood.

I usually carry a book of poetry with me, and lately I've been particularly drawn to Mayakovsky's poems. I also can't miss Shellac's "1000 Hurts," which is intense but has a solid, sharp sound. I also have a tumbler and a koozie, which are indispensable when drinking outdoors in the summer. And finally, my wallet, which somehow always comes back to my hand no matter how many times I drop it. This is my must-have item.

I try to choose bags that fit in with my overall style. Basically, my styling is very clean, so it is important that the bag goes well with my outfits.

What is your impression of the Tumi brand and the items in its lineup?

For my 20-year-old self, the brand had a slightly mature image, and I had a strong impression that it was a brand favored by stylish businessmen, but that impression was dispelled when I actually tried it!

How did you feel about the actual bag?

Despite its small size, it has a massive design, and the elegance that is typical of Tumi is very appealing. I liked the practicality of the design, such as the way the logo is visible when the bag is worn on the front and the position of the zipper, which makes it easy to take things out.

What is your impression of the Tumi brand and the items in its lineup?

I have the impression that the brand has a business-like appearance and a moderate sense of luxury that goes well with dress items. However, when I actually tried it, I was surprised to find that it blended easily with street-style items.

What are your criteria for choosing a bag, and what is your mileage when choosing a bag?

He then became a manager of one of the most popular vintage clothing stores in Harajuku, where he has been involved in punk, hardcore, old skate, London culture, and other fields that are inseparable from vintage clothing. He is a regular snapper and the face of the store.

What is your impression of the Tumi brand and the items in its lineup?

I had an image that there were many business-like bags in the lineup, but as I actually used the bags and learned more about them, I realized that the brand has many items that would be suitable for young fashion-loving people like us.

What are your criteria for choosing a bag, and what is your mileage when choosing a bag?

Like clothes, I don't think it's something you buy frequently, so I'm conscious of universal design and usability over the long term. A bag that will last for a long time is the best, isn't it?

What do you pay attention to in styling when using the bag?

I don't like to dress in such a way that the bag becomes the star of the outfit and takes on a life of its own. I prefer understated bags that can be a supporting role in the styling.

I've been working in a vintage clothing store for nearly 10 years, so I tend to have things that are basically vintage or used that I can enjoy over time. Among them, bandanas are practical because they can be used as handkerchiefs. Stickers can be given to friends I happen to meet on the street, so I often carry them in my bag.
