Video Production

Risa Nishimurathree

Born in 1992 in Hokkaido, Japan. In addition to working on music videos for artists, he is also active as a photographer and art director. He is a creator of the new generation linked to the culture scene.

Why did you choose this one among the many outerwear items from "Aigle"?

I hardly have any outerwear. Even if it is cold, I hold back (laughs). I don't want to take it off and have it become luggage. But I've always wanted something functional. Something that wasn't shaky. But this jacket is waterproof, but the material feels natural, and I don't have many navy jackets, so I thought it would be good.

Not a big fan of high specs?

I like it, but it is difficult to find something that I can use not only at work but also in my private life.

When taking photos and movies, the stress of clothing is likely to be more of a concern.

That's right. That is why I avoid anything with long hems because it is difficult to move, and since I am always conscious of being behind the scenes, I often coordinate my entire body in black for a photo shoot.

How do you feel about actually wearing this jacket?

I really like the way the neck stands up and the large hood. It is also convenient that the waist can be cinched, and most importantly, it is lightweight. I can wear it to work and to festivals. I'm also happy that there are so many pockets. I lose a lot of things (laughs).

What is important to you in making photos and movies?

Of course, we are particular about the visible aspects of the work, such as style and results, but what we place the greatest importance on is the relationship with the people involved on site. I believe that without that kind of groove, it is impossible to create something good.

photographer

Haruki Matsuithree

Born in 1985, he began taking photographs in 2006 and is currently working for fashion and culture magazines for both men and women. He is an up-and-coming photographer with an established reputation for his portraits of youth.

I had the impression that Matsui-san often wears a black anorak for his regular photo shoots, but that jacket was also made by "Aigle", wasn't it?

That's right. I don't remember where I got it (laughs). I like it very much. It's nylon, lightweight, and comfortable.

Do you make a distinction between work and daily wear?

No, I don't at all. So I wear this anorak all the time. I think it's been about 10 years now.

You are wearing an "Aigle" down coat today, but did you choose this one from a similar perspective to the anorak?

That may be so. I feel more at home in outdoor wear and the like than in designer clothes. I like things that are well made, not trendy, and not dated in a good sense.

Finally, can you tell us about your future prospects as a photographer?

In the near future, I would like to have an exhibition; I have been taking pictures for about six years, and I would like to put them together and show them in a solo exhibition.

Frieda Designer

Kiho Ogasawarathree

Born in 1984. After working as the manager of the Shibuya store of Freak's Store and in the press, she launched the new brand "Frieda" last year, proposing a fresh image of women as its director. She is also an unrivaled lover of ice cream.

What is the point of today's outfit?

Is it the coloring and the long length? I like red. Especially a slightly dull red that is not a primary color, like this shirtcoat. Long length is a trend this season, and I myself am in the mood to wear long lengths.

Have you always known about Eagle?

Of course. But I had a strong impression of rubber boots, so I was surprised when I learned that there were so many variations in clothing as well. I thought, "I could create a whole outfit just with Eagle.

What do you like about this shirtcoat?

The logo design on the back in the same color as the neck and the fact that it is surprisingly warm when worn. The water-repellent finish is also nice. I think it's perfect for early fall.

Today's layering is a balance typical of Ogasawara-san, isn't it?

Yes, I like this balance (laughs). (Laughs) I like the balance of long and long pieces together, with the heaviness at the bottom. My recent standard is to squeeze the waist and pull out the collar to make it look fluffy. Even with heavy layers, women look slender if one or two of the three necks are visible, so I also showed my neck and wrists today. By the way, the skirt is from the early days of "Frida.

Has the way you choose clothes changed since you started making your own clothes?

It may not have changed particularly. However, as I have gotten older, I have come to realize the importance of comfort and wearability. In the past, I was happy as long as the clothes were cute, and I did my best to wear them regardless of whether they were tight or painful. That is why at "Frieda" we are very concerned about both appearance and comfort.

Representative

Yohei Sakamathree

At the age of 35, he moved from his hometown in Shiga Prefecture to Oiso, and after many twists and turns, established the atelier "Imakokon," which handles ceramics and other items made by artists from all over Japan. The "Nichinichi Shokudo" (daily lunch restaurant), which is attached to the atelier, serves set menus rich in flavor.

This is my first visit to Konkokyo, and it is a wonderful place to feel the good old days of Japan.

Thank you very much. This place used to be an electronics parts factory. We renovated it and turned it into a gallery. Because it is also a space like this, one might think that I like old things, but that is not the case. I like technical things as well.

But the vessels displayed here cannot be experienced in mass production.

It is interesting to see how technology has evolved so much, but we still cannot produce something with the warmth of handmade work. So, while some things continue to evolve in a rational way, others, like the vessels shown here, can only be made by human hands. I hope that a future in which these two can coexist without going too far will continue.

The Eagle jacket you are wearing is completely waterproof and can be fitted with a down lining, so it is of a high spec.

I am now looking forward to welcoming the cold winter with this functionality. I go to the beach and climb mountains even in winter, so I can't wait to experience the full potential of this product. Also, I think it would be better to wear clean clothes, but I tend to wear all of my clothes like jerseys. If I like it, I wear it anywhere, anytime. I also like the coloring because I work in the kitchen in this outfit, so I don't worry too much about stains.

What kind of image did you have of Aigle?

My parents always loved them and wore them often. I used to climb mountains in my hometown in Shiga Prefecture, and many people who climbed mountains also wore eagles. So, for me at the time, they were something to aspire to. I thought it was stylish. It's a very French design.

With "Konko-Kokon," Sakama-san's dressing is both organic and modern.

I like organic food, but I am not obsessed with it. I am not obsessed with organic food, but I am not obsessed with that. I just have become more and more inclined to do so as I have tried to choose one thing at a time to make my life less suffocating. It may be partly due to the location of Oiso. So, of course, I drive a car and use disposable items. However, I think it is important to do things such as avoiding garbage as much as possible. If I try to do too much, it becomes too hard, and there is no point if it doesn't last.

florist

chi-kothree

After working for a major flower store, he became independent and has since been in charge of flower arranging and planting for many popular stores ranging from fashion to restaurants. In recent years, he spends his days working with flowers at Forager, a store that also serves as his atelier.

Was the jacket you are wearing this time your first Eagle?

No, I have been wearing an Eagle kappa for a long time, so that was the first time. I ride my bicycle on rainy days to pick up and drop off my children, and I was afraid that a poncho would get caught in the hem. So I looked for rainwear with a separate upper and lower layer and found Aigle. It was a beautiful violet color, and that was the deciding factor in my decision to buy it. I've used it so much that it has become quite tattered (laughs).

The jacket you are wearing now is also in a nice shade.

Red is not a color that I have often seen in my wardrobe, but this color blends in very well. What I like most, however, is the depth of the hood. When I zip it up and put the hood on, it covers my face completely. We work early in the morning, especially in the winter, and just having my face protected gives me a sense of security. Of course, I also like that it is completely waterproof.

Chi-ko's mornings are early because she has to stock up on flowers?

Yes, I do. I leave my house at around 4:00 a.m. to go to the market to buy. There are two types of markets, the auction and the middle wholesaler, and I mainly go to the middle wholesaler. At the auction, farmers put their produce in boxes and ship them in units of 50 or 100, but at the middle wholesaler's market, people who want to buy a variety of produce can buy as little as 10 pieces at a time. I want to be home before the kids wake up, so I arrive home around 7:00 am. This cycle of life is very healthy because I get a lot of morning sun.

That jacket looks like it would come in handy when buying.

The pockets can hold a lot of things, and above all, I appreciate that it is lightweight. Also, if the range of motion in the shoulders is too narrow, I gradually feel like wearing it becomes a chore, but this jacket doesn't have that problem at all, and it is easy to move around in. The boots are also short, which I really appreciate in my life where I have to take them on and off a lot. I think people with children can relate to this. And, even at the market, when I go into the greenhouse, I get drenched mercilessly, so they are very useful in that respect as well.

There is a tough side to being a florist, which the kids who dream of being a florist don't know about.

Yes (laughs). But actually, I wrote in my nursery school book that I wanted to be a florist in the future. When I was little, the only occupations I knew were cake shop, nurse, and kindergarten teacher. So I guess I wrote it down by process of elimination (laughs). (Laughs.) But then I realized that I had worked part-time at a florist in high school, so I guess I had a connection. Now that I am independent, I feel joy and satisfaction in helping customers understand the beauty of flowers by saying, "Wow, there are such wonderful flowers.

Creative Director, The Landscapers

Masaki Hanawathree

After working in graphic production at an advertising agency, he worked in the fashion and interior design industry before founding The Landscapers in 2014. He continues to increase his fan base with his approach to plants that is not bound by preconceived ideas.

Unfortunately, it rained today, but that's what makes rubber boots so useful.

Yes, that's right. Eagle is a brand that originally started out as rubber shoes. That is why many gardeners and outdoor enthusiasts who seek practicality actually wear them in the field. Furthermore, I feel it's great that they can also be enjoyed for town use. I am interested in that kind of background, and maybe it is because of my profession, but I have no interest in boots that are just for fashion.

I understand that the outerwear you are wearing now from Aigle is also waterproof, laminated with an original membrane.

That's right. So I often put it on quickly when I feel like getting wet in the rain. There are not many other products that have both functionality and design beyond town use, so they are very useful.

Mr. Hanawa, you currently live in Kamakura, but you used to live in Tokyo, right?

Yes, I was in the apparel industry. I used to work in the apparel industry, and I used to dress up in the urban lifestyle (laughs). (Laughs). From those days, life today is very different, and what I wear has changed a lot. I can now wear things that I can wear to work and go to the city without changing. With today's clothes, you can walk around Tokyo after gardening without having to change, right?

I like the one-tone coordination.

Anyway, I like brown. I think I choose brown clothes in the same way that everyone else chooses black as a safe color (laughs). (laughs). It has been that way ever since I lived in Tokyo.

Is caring for plants and trees still part of your daily routine?

No, that is more my wife's responsibility. I do a lot of creative work, such as making bottled plants called "plantaholics" in my studio behind the store. Of course, I wear things that I don't mind getting dirty, but what I wear affects what I make, and it also changes my mood. So I always want to wear what I like so that my mood is lifted and reflected in what I make. In that sense, the outerwear, boots, and sakosh from "Aigle" are the perfect items.
