. A photo instagrammer living in Kanagawa Prefecture. As a hobby, she posts photos she took while walking around town on her days off on Instagram, gaining popularity and increasing followers in Japan and abroad. In her current account, she mainly presents works that capture the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. His favorite camera is the Nikon D7200.

If you just want to upload to social networking sites, it is comparable to a digital SLR!

. as is the case now, I am not a professional photographer, but only a hobbyist. . On my days off from work, I bring my camera from my home in Shonan to Tokyo. I often go to Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ueno, Asakusa, and Akihabara. I like the crowded streets and the backstreets.

Keita's style, with its slightly faded colors and high contrast, has a nostalgic feel. Her highly anonymous and exotic street photos are highly regarded by both domestic and international Instagrammers, and she says she has many followers in Europe, the U.S., and Asia.

"Since the ocean in Shonan is close to my home, I am often asked, 'Don't you shoot nature, too?' I used to shoot nature, but it tends to be affected by the weather. In fact, I used to, but nature tends to be affected by the weather, and the mountains, aside from the ocean, are too far away to access. So, I started taking pictures of the city, which is always a good place to be in any situation, even when it's raining.

This time, the HUAWEI P20 Pro was used to take pictures in Asakusa, Shinjuku, Shibuya, and other locations over a few days. Normally, we hear that the RAW data taken with a digital SLR camera is developed in Adobe Lightroom, but this time, the images were unprocessed JPEGs for verification purposes.

. I am only comparing it to my iPhone 7 Plus, but the image quality is still clear and good. If you tweak it a bit, I don't think you can even compare it to a DSLR when uploading to social media. I was surprised especially in dark night scenes. The AI automatically determines that the camera is in nightscape mode without having to switch modes, and I can shoot hand-held without blurring without having to increase exposure or sensitivity or fix the camera on a tripod. I guess it is probably a kind of composite process that takes several shots and combines them into one, but it is more beautiful than the SLR cameras of a decade ago.

The HUAWEI P20 Pro's AI automatically recognizes the subject and scene and switches between modes, including food, group photos, close-ups, night scenes, portraits, sunrise/sunset, and other familiar digital camera modes such as cat, dog (separate for cats and dogs!), fireworks, stage/live, and waterfall. (separate for cats and dogs!), "Fireworks," "Stage/live performance," "Waterfall," and 19 other variations to suit a variety of subjects and scenes that were once considered difficult to capture with a smartphone.

. The modes that I used the most were 'nightscape,' 'close-up,' and 'blue sky. On the other hand, there is a pro mode that allows you to freely adjust aperture, shutter speed, exposure, ISO, white balance, and other settings, so for example, if you want to take a slow shutter shot of a stream of people passing by on the street, it will meet your needs. As for the aperture, there is an "aperture" function that allows you to change the bokeh effect after the picture is taken, so you can take pictures without regard to the aperture at first.

An advantage that only smartphones have that cameras don't .

Just point the camera and release the shutter without thinking, and not only does the AI determine the best mode to use, but the bokeh effect can also be changed later. Combined with the quick focus, the AI will not let you miss a shutter opportunity, he said. He was also impressed by the high image quality of the f/1.8 main RGB lens, f/1.6 mono lens, and large 1/1.7-inch sensor size.

. I think the image quality is good, especially when shooting in monochrome mode. I think the bright lens and large sensor size are the main reasons why the camera is strong in dark areas and produces little noise. The telephoto lens has a 3x zoom equivalent to 81mm (35mm film equivalent), which is also easy to use. I usually use three single-focal length lenses (35mm, 50mm, and 85mm), but this one lens covers the focal length range of 27-81mm optically, so I think it will satisfy photography enthusiasts who love using the standard zoom range.

Furthermore, there are advantages unique to the HUAWEI P20 Pro that cannot be captured by DSLRs.

I usually look through the viewfinder with my SLR camera, but with a smartphone, I can shoot from a very low angle just off the ground. Moreover, it is waterproof, so even if it is raining or the ground is wet, I don't have to worry about the camera, so I will be able to take pictures like never before. The fact that the AI corrects the level is also a nice feature for me, as I take a lot of pictures of buildings.

Keita, who has over 13,000 followers on Instagram, shares her tips on how to increase the number of likes and followers! and how to get more likes and followers.

. "First of all, you should decide on a concept for your account and stick to one genre of photography. I used to upload nature scenes and flowers, but I started to get a lot of likes on my Tokyo cityscapes, so I gradually narrowed down the theme! I gradually began to narrow down the theme of my photos. In fact, when I follow someone's account, it is easier to follow someone if their worldview is clear.

On the other hand, there are ways to catch the attention of many people, he said. For example, I often let people know that I actively like and follow their posts! and followers, and using hashtags in English as well as Japanese, but are there other ways to get noticed?

. "Hashtags are also good to use because the big words that everyone is adding are instantly passed over, so you should dare to use one with a slightly lower number of posts so that your photos stay up-to-date for a longer period of time. Other than that, Instagram has featured accounts like media that are highly spread out, and it is important to post with a hashtag for your post so that you can be hooked up with such places. In fact, I am happy when I am featured, and my followers increase dramatically.

. It is important to be alert and ready to take a picture at a moment's notice so that you do not miss a shutter chance.

. "That's why I think it's nice to carry a phone like the HUAWEI P20 Pro that can take DSLR-grade photos. . Even I don't usually carry a camera with me, and it's in my bag when I'm traveling for a photo shoot. But with a smartphone, I can, for example, take a picture of a scene while I am waiting at the station and say, "Oh, that's interesting! while waiting at the station, for example. I was thinking that it was time to get a digital camera as a sub-machine, but, oddly enough, I think that the HUAWEI P20 Pro is all I need.
