I've always loved cooking, so it's not hard for me to cook. And since I brought my own gear, I also want to use it myself (laughs). (laughs) But most of all, I am happy to make people happy.
While Kondo-san cooks, the other members wait for the food to be ready while playing a game. It's hard to prepare the utensils and cook by myself, but I never get tired of it," Kondo says.
I think it may be because of my collecting habit. Just like with clothes, I want new gear more and more, and when I buy something new, I want to go out and try it out (laughs). In my case, I didn't get into the outdoors because I wanted to camp, but because I became interested in clothes and gear, which became my entry point. That's why I place importance on the practicality of the gear I buy.
I also find that getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city and putting myself in nature refreshes my mind. When I work in Tokyo, I get calls from work every day, and on the other hand, I am used to that. So when I camp like this, I can completely turn off. From the preparation the day before to the time I return to Tokyo and finish sorting out the tools I used, it's like a break for me.
Today's menu of interest is curry hot pot. The nice aroma of spices wafting along the lakeside stimulates the appetite. It is a perfect dish to eat outside during the chilly season.
I simply enjoy putting up a tarp or tent in the middle of nature, setting up a table and chairs, and being with everyone. I think you can sit around a table with friends at home, but then you turn on the TV and go somewhere else. But you can't do that when camping. That's why we can talk about things we normally can't, and I feel like it brings us closer together. I think that is the charm of camping.

Mr. Kondo said he wanted to propose a lifestyle along with fashion. Three years have passed since he became independent, and he says he is now able to embody what he initially set out to achieve.
