SPOT.1AKIRA ART OF WALL
Have the two of you ever worked together before?
Kawamura:Nice to meet you .
ERI:It's nice to meet you, but we have a lot of mutual acquaintances, so of course I knew of you. It is a wonder that we had no contact with each other until now.
Kawamura:It really is true.
ERI:The work here was displayed outdoors at "Shibuya PARCO" until the summer, wasn't it? . It seems larger when seen in a place with a ceiling.
Kawamura:. actually, it's the biggest piece I've ever done.
ERI:Sounds like a lot of work to produce....
Kawamura:I made it digitally, but even when I looked at it on the screen, I couldn't tell the scale (laughs). (Laughs.) Because it is difficult to print out the original size, it was quite a challenge.
ERI:What is going to happen to this panel after this?
Kawamura:. It seems that they will keep it at "Shibuya PARCO". But the chairs for "AKIRA" will be destroyed when they are finished.
ERI:Eh, what a waste. Why don't you take it back (laughs)?
Kawamura:I don't know why I made it, but putting it in the house is, well, disturbing (laughs).
ERI:I'm going to hate it. . That's not good. . I don't think I'll change it when the light bulb goes out....
Kawamura:No doubt....
ERI:Did you direct the space as well?
Kawamura:I asked YOSHIROTTEN to take care of all the details. I consulted with them on various matters. Also, some of the rubble and debris were from the construction of Shibuya PARCO.
ERI:Heh . But I guess "Akira" lovers might find this a bit , well, irresistible.
