The embrace of street and mode. Why style mixers are needed in this era.
Do you know STYLEMIXER?

An embrace of street and mode.
Why style mixers are necessary in this era.

The men's line debuted for the spring/summer 2020 season from the women's brand "STYLEMIXER," which was born in 2018. The designs, which blend the essence of American street fashion with the ageless and genderless mood of a Euromaison, have a wide range of styles that can be used for casual, mode, and traditional fashion. In this issue, we will take a look at a fashion shoot created by stylist Masaaki Ida, and discover the appeal of the "high-design, low-priced" Style Mixer brand.

STYLE 01 Puff Jacket x Trad.

Huynh Nam: This time, Mr. Ida has styled the main focus with "Style Mixer" clothes, and I would like to ask him about "Style Mixer" and what he thinks about current fashion.

Ida: Yes, thank you very much!

Huynh Nam: Did you have an image or theme in mind for today's styling?

Ida: It's not so much that I imagined it. When I saw the clothes here, I thought it would be good no matter how I put them together. For example, it would be smart to wear them as a set-up.

Huynam : Indeed. It looks like it could swing either way, casual or mode.

Ida: That's right. There is a margin that accepts any kind of clothes. I chose the clothes I wanted to wear according to my mood.

Huynh Nam : I see. What style are you in the mood for now?

Ida: I feel like I want to wear mode as well as traditional. So it was a lot of fun styling them. Rather than trying to match the style with the style mixer, I felt that the other side accepted it easily.

Loose stadium jacket with cotton padding ¥12,000+TAX (Style Mixer), knit vest ¥32,000+TAX (Raffa Molina per Tomorrowland), shirt ¥22,000+TAX (Tomorrowland) Pants ¥33,000+TAX, Boots ¥65,000+TAX by Simon Fournier (International Gallery Beams)

Huynh Nam : The styling with this puff jacket is very traditional.

Ida: Yes, that's right. Pinstripe pants, argyle knit and shirt.

Huynem : It is a classic, but it is fresh when you see it now. The argyle is a nice accent.

Ida: There are patterns and colors in it, but the tone is not that flashy, so it looks calm.

Huynh Nam : This shirt also looks too trendy with neon colors, but the mustard color makes it look more relaxed.

Ida: That's right. As for the style mixer, I thought it would be more interesting to show it properly as a fashion item rather than pursuing reality.

Huynem : So your shoes are heeled boots, too?

Ida: Looking at it again now, aren't heeled boots cool?

Huynh Nam : I like it. It looks very stylish.
