The rich interior design enhances the feeling of traveling.
The GMLVAN C-01JSF that Mr. Ikeda will be driving is a special edition of Gordon Miller Motors' GMLVAN C-01, which is based on the Nissan NV200 Vanette.
The most distinctive feature is the seat cover made of ACME Furniture's original fabric. The fabric is based on vintage fabrics and is synonymous with ACME Furniture's large checkered patterns, subtle frayed colors, and color schemes. Since the base is a rugged van, the addition of fabrics with a nostalgic feel also evokes the smell of America, the birthplace of VANLIFE. The luxurious use of oak wood in the interior makes it more like a "living room in motion" than a car.
I asked Mr. Ikeda, "Where would you like to go on this?" Ikeda-san asked, "The interior is nice, so why don't we go on a tour of ceramics, buildings, and other things connected with it?" He suggested. So we headed for the ceramic town of Mashiko and Oku-Nikko, where the leaves were beginning to change color.
