The feeling of dressing is different when you know the cultural background.
Today, I had the hair self-styled and paired with down.
MIU: I matched it with my usual outfit of a T-shirt and vintage military pants. Down is warm and lightweight, so I thought a T-shirt inside would be enough. I think I can wear this down all the time.
I like the way you styled it today, with the double-zip opening only at the bottom, which is very Miu-like.
MIU: I really like the double zip. It allows me to enjoy layering, and when I sit on it, it doesn't get fuzzy against the seat. It is interesting to see how functional items change their forms in accordance with the times and culture. That's why there is such a thing as dead stock.
I think the division into masculine and feminine may be outdated, but I see that you delve into masculine clothing.
MIU: I feel that knowing the background makes a difference in the way I dress, or rather how I feel when I wear it.
You have been interacting with brands and people with strong street colors, haven't you?
MIU: Everyone is doing what they love to do, so it is fun to be with them. I recently read a book that said it is better to be around people you respect and learn from them. That is exactly right, and I have been playing with my seniors since I was young. Not only in culture, but in everything, the past was here and now is there. So I want to feel things in person, not just be carried away by information that can be changed immediately.
I have the image of a person with a thirst for knowledge.
MIU: My older and younger siblings are male brothers, and I grew up in an environment where it was a contest to see what and how much I knew from a young age. I guess I have always felt that I was the only one who wanted to know.
You said that many people around you are doing what they love. Is there anything else you would like to do besides modeling?
MIU: Not immediately, but when I have children of my own, I would like them to eat food that I grew by farming myself. My family's roots are in farming, and now my mother's brother is taking over. In the end, I want to teach them the chain of life, that everything we eat is connected.
A down jacket brand born in the U.S. in the 1980s, the brand rapidly gained acceptance among young people who loved music and fashion in the 1990s, and grew to become an iconic New York brand. The first collection was a collection of fashionable, globally renowned pieces. The first collection is a lineup of FIRST DOWN's standard models, centering on the bubble down jacket with its distinctive tape and reversible design, which was the original inspiration for a certain world-famous street brand. Not only are these jackets reissued, but the silhouettes have been updated with a modern and urban look.
