What kind of playlist is this?

Sasai: The first and last 10 songs are from My All-Time Best. This year was a FU*K year, but at the same time, it was a year that made me realize how important it is to connect with and love everyone, so I included these two songs to symbolize this year.

Songs 2-4 were released this year and are excellent. These are bands to keep an eye on in the future. I am a fan of "BLAST JAMS!!! （BLAST JAMS! rock'n'roll event, so I chose songs released last year and this year from two bands that are indispensable to the modern Japanese rock'n'roll scene.

Songs 7-9 are songs that I have learned and listened to heavily this year. Please give them a listen.

What was your most memorable activity this year?

Sasai: The postponement of his event "BLAST JAMS! at the Liquid Room has been postponed. . Thanks to the virus, I have more time to prepare, and I am excited for the next one.

What did you notice about the music scene this year?

Sasai: . combined with various other circumstances, subscriptions have become a full-fledged mainstream trend in music.

Are there any artists you are looking forward to seeing in 2021?

Sasai: First up is ALI. The new stuff created by people who know the good old days of funk, Latin, hip-hop, etc. is really good. This year has had a lot of momentum, as well as anime tie-ins, but I have a feeling that next year will be even more amazing.

Sasai: . and THE THROTTLE. There have been a lot of things happening this year, such as members leaving the group, but I am looking forward to seeing how they will change next year. I am also hoping that they will raise the level of rock and roll culture in Japan (laughs).

What are your ambitions for 2021?

Sasai: I hope to continue to live a life full of music and love.

What are your plans for the future?

Sasai: The 1st Mix CD, a two-disc set, will be released on January 7, 2021 (Thursday). There is no title, but the concept of "DANCE side" and "LOVE side" has been established, and the content is genre-less, ranging from 50s to 80s rock 'n' roll to Latin, reggae, and hip-hop.
