Something is slowly slipping away, and what I am doing now is really strange.
This is the 13th year since "BOY" started?
Okutomi:. Yes, it is. I guess this is how life goes by in the blink of an eye. ...... (laughs) I've been running a store in Shibuya since I was 19 years old, and it's no exaggeration to say that I devoted my youth to it.
Your store itself has been slowly changing its form, and I imagine that your own activities have also been broadening in line with that change.
Okutomi:. It's getting more and more mysterious (laughs). (Laughs.) What I am doing now, for example, is really mysterious. In the beginning, I was doing something a little more like a vintage clothing store. Something gradually shifted, but, well, it is what I wanted to do.
Did you always envision working as a stylist someday as well?
Okutomi:No, not really... I was asked by a model friend of mine about 10 years ago. I was in charge of styling for Aimyon's "I want to tell you about my love," and that was when I started getting requests from companies.
I see.
Okutomi:In running a store, every day is a styling day, both for me and my customers. So, I thought, "I might be able to do it.
What do you want 2021 to be like?
Okutomi:This year, I would like to do something at Parco again. Last year, we did some crazy things, like running a panda car on the rooftop. A friend of mine did a tattoo at a gallery the other day.
A VIRGIN:That, my friend went there too!
Okutomi:PARCO is a playground fundamentally, and since they accept everything, I am really allowed to play. After the renovation, it is not so much about fashion as it used to be, and there are more interesting events. . By the way, I think I'm getting a bit full of myself.
Kato:The vegan fried chicken , was very tasty.
Okutomi:I don't need another night. ......
A VIRGIN:Eh, I'll eat at night .
Okutomi:Yes, I thought we were supposed to go out for a drink afterwards (laughs).
