Vintage Summit's second special order project. Converse's famous Jack Purcell meets BEYONDEXX's Great War denim, finally unleashed!

Following the "Chuck Toggle HVS" that was released as a Vintage Summit special order project through limited sales channels, the long-awaited second volume will finally make its debut! While the first volume featured a rare model in the so-called "rare berth" category, this time we have selected the "Jack Purcell" as the base model, which is well-known to everyone as a long-selling model that represents the brand. For the upper, Mr. Konno of "NEXUSⅦ." takes the lead, and the much talked about "BEYONDEXX," a Japanese denim developed by a group of denim experts, is used to breathe new life into this longtime global seller. We invited four familiar faces, who are also the originators of this special order, to talk about the appeal of this new product to the fullest. As mentioned earlier, for the "Jack Purcell," the second special order, Mr. Kurihara has taken various detail work from his archives and incorporated it into the form of the 80s, a period of prosperity. . We focused on the details of each section that are particularly noteworthy.

Check Point 01_Material

The upper is made from the denim fabric of Beyondex's World War II model, which took five to six years to produce. This time, it is woven in a unique resipe, so I hope you will enjoy the unique texture and faded look.

Check Point 02_Side Tape & Insole

The navy version has side tapes in the same color as the upper and mustache, which were used until around the 80's . In the late 80's, only the toe was colored white, and after that, it was changed to white, but I think it's an essential point for vintage lovers. The insole and the size indication also refer to the specifications of the 80's." (Kurihara)

Check Point 03_Shoelace Hole & Stitch

Fujiwara: "The coloring of the doves and stitching is based on the denim All Star released in the 80's, but we have made the coloring even more ideal.

Check Point 04_Heel Counter

The heel is set so that the selvedge is visible, as is the upper of the Beyondex, sampling a specification that was also seen on some individuals in the 1970s.

Check Point 05_Shoelace

I like the cotton laces seen on old sneakers, so I used them in this special order as well. They are also available in two colors, white and navy.

Check Point 06_Gold Box

The box is a special gold color. The design motif of the box is the same as the previous one, a silver box from the 1980s, but this time it is a denim-colored one, as it is designed for Beyondex.
