BETWEEN YOU & ME.

The unique Aloha Rag is greeted by four friends with unique personalities.

Aloha Rug" advocates an urban style of aloha shirts based on art, music, and other cultural elements. The brand has collaborated with artists in the lead-up to the summer season, and this year, four artists have been selected to participate in the project. By expressing the artists' works as textiles, the brand has created artistic aloha with individuality painted on top of individuality. Conveying this charm are the friends, also unique, chosen by each of the four artists. We present a big bang where individuality and personality collide.

Did you know you wanted to be an actor when you were little?

Big Bottom: I have been somewhat aware of television since elementary school, but the meaning of becoming an actor has changed from then to now. When I appeared in a local TV show for a few minutes, my family was so excited to see it, and I was happy to know that they were so happy to see me. I was from a family that often watched Friday Roadshow, but I got hooked on movies in high school and consciously began to watch a variety of films.

. Then you went through an audition and joined your current agency.

Big Bottom: Yes, I participated in the workshop audition. . and I still want to be involved and participate in making the movies that I love. So, although my role is in the Actor's Department, I am allowed to be an actor, with the image of being a "film maker" in large part.

. As you have posted on your Instagram, you watch a variety of movies every month. When you watch a movie, do you pay attention to the acting?

Big Bottom: Hmmm ...... , it's not the same as the feeling of watching an act. It is the feeling of watching a work of art. I would say that I am watching the work itself, rather than the individual actor's play.

What do you rely on to judge whether or not to watch?

Big Bottom: Of course there are times when I watch award-winning films or past works by famous directors, but I like to watch them when I have a good encounter with them. I became friends with a guy I met at a record bar a long time ago, and when we parted ways, he told me to watch a movie called "Naked Lunch". . That's a great curiosity, isn't it? So, it depends on how you meet people. I would watch it because that person told me about it.

As a performer, how do you judge whether or not to appear?

Big Bottom: . Now, I would like to participate in all the productions that I am asked to do. . I still don't have enough experience. When I told this to a senior actor, he was angry with me and said, "The first step in starting an art is to make a choice" (laughs).

What is your relationship with Mr. Matsuki?

Big Bottom: It has been so long ago that I wonder when I first met him. I had the impression that he was an energetic person wearing overalls and a hat. We have worked together about once a year since then. Mr. Matsuki also likes video, and he sometimes sends me his impressions of the films I am in. . I also like Matsuki-san's photo book "Gunsei" and often look at it at home.

The front and back of this shirt were both shot at Shibuya's Scramble Crossing in a 360-degree angle, but the front and back were shot at different times. The front shot was taken before Corona, and the back shot was taken after Corona, so you can see a person wearing a mask in the back.

Big Bottom: I like that you have a concept, not just one big picture of Dawn. Mr. Matsuki and I are friends, but he is also someone I would like to work with. I see that you are currently studying video as well, so if you ever do a video, I would love to work with you.
