Studied under Katsuya Kubokawa while attending an interior design school, and after six years as an assistant, became independent. He is not bound by genres, but is supported by his wide range of expression that crosses various tastes. He is currently active in magazines, websites, advertisements, and other media.

It is a rainy season day, and the heat and humidity are increasing day by day. The sky was covered with clouds, but fortunately it was not raining. Even so, the humidity was as high as ever, but even in such weather, the person who opened the front door with light steps and loaded the Renault Kangoo with his luggage was the main subject of this interview, interior stylist Shinya Endo.
Despite the gloomy air, he carries large pieces of furniture such as tables and floor lights. This time, we will be closely following Endo-san's work with the Kangoo. Endo-san tells us that "the Kangoo is perfect for the job of an interior stylist," where a vehicle with a high loading capacity is essential.
I am always looking for a car that can carry a lot of luggage because of my occupation. I also like outdoor activities, so it would be nice to be able to drive it in my private time. I was a little worried about whether I would be able to load all the furniture and tools needed for today's shoot, but there was no problem at all. I was also surprised that it was tall enough to carry floor lights vertically. Depending on the project, we sometimes load large houseplants, etc., and with this height, I think we can load them without knocking them over. Moreover, there is still space left even with such a large amount of cargo loaded. It's amazing, isn't it, Kangoo?
After loading all the luggage, the "Kangoo" headed for the studio in Tokyo where the photo shoot was to take place. Mr. Endo had actually been thinking about purchasing this car after setting up his own business as an interior stylist.
My mentor had told me that a stylist can see the car, so I wanted a car with an attractive design. In my search for such a car, I found the Kangoo and considered purchasing it. I thought the design was cute and the car's yellow color was attractive. However, I had just started my own business, and buying a used car was all I could afford. I couldn't find a Kangoo in good condition at that time.
And now, Mr. Endo has had the chance to ride in the "Kangoo," a vehicle he has longed for. We asked him how he felt after actually riding in the car.
I'm a little uncomfortable with cars that have narrow windows, but the Kangoo has wide windows and is very easy to drive. And even though the Kangoo has a high carrying capacity, it is not as large as a van. That makes it easy to maneuver and relatively smooth to drive, even on narrow roads.
