What do those parents and children wear at Gap? Part 1

Gap was founded in San Francisco in 1969 as a denim and record store. Since then, Gap has grown into a national brand in the U.S. and has been updated based on American traditions, despite the emergence of many easily accessible brands. The growing popularity of the old Gap in the vintage clothing market is proof that the brand is adapting to the times. The Gap is the new hot right now. We asked 15 pairs of hip parents and their children to wear the best items for fall and winter, and took snapshots. In the first part, seven pairs appear. What do you think of the Gap?

Ryunosuke works at "2G" located on the 2nd floor of "Shibuya PARCO". Hitomi is a kindergarten teacher and is currently on childcare leave. Tamaki is 4 months old. She is a regular customer of "Gap" for children's clothing.

What is the key to choosing your daily clothing?

Ryunosuke:There is a lot of cross between street and traditional. But for the holidays, there are more clothes that are easy to carry the kids in.

Who picks out Tamaki's clothes?

Ryunosuke:Basically, I am a wife. Babies are cute no matter what they wear. But I often buy things for Rim at the Gap, without being flattered. Really (laughs).

What is the reason for the "gap"?

Ryunosuke's clothes look great. What was the point of your choice?

Ryunosuke:I chose this parka because the mannequin was wearing it and it looked cool (laughs). (Laughs) Also, I chose this parka because denim is my recent mood, and denim is what Gap is all about. The stretchy fabric makes it easy to drive in and easy to carry my child in my arms.

How about you, Hitomi?

Hitomi:I also thought it was cute that the mannequin was wearing it, and I was taken by it (laughs). So I thought that if I imitated the mannequins, there was no doubt about it.

What about your clothes, Tamaki?

Ryunosuke:I have actually wanted this denim jacket for a long time. So I am glad I had this opportunity.

Is there not a lot of clothing for 0-year-olds?

Hitomi:Reasonably priced brand-name stores have older clothes, but they don't have much for a zero year old. However, Gap carries a wide variety of items, which is really helpful.

Since this is a parent-child snapshot, I would be very interested to hear about your child-rearing policy.

Ryunosuke:As you can see, he is 0 years old, so there is not that much there yet (laughs). But I hope he will find something to be crazy about.

Hitomi:You say it like that (laughs). (Laughs.) But really, I think it would be enough if I could grow up without hurting others.
