Behind the scenes of Beams T and Ubisoft's game distribution.

On Friday, October 17, BEAMS T and UBISOFT, a French-born game company, held a collaborative distribution event. The event started with the release of apparel in collaboration with "DHC (Dekoboko Happy Club)," a game team consisting of six creators who are also active in the fashion scene. At the event delivered to commemorate the event, Junichi Kawamoto, a well-known game comedian and Junichi Kawamoto of the Next Chief Division, and Yasumura Anyway, a bright young man, were also present. Here is a behind-the-scenes look at the event from the perspective of those of us who were there.

It started as a game for fun and led to collaboration.

Before,A feature article was created for HOUYHNHNM.But once again, when was the "DHC" formed?

Shinknownsuke:I think it was 4 years ago. At first I was playing "Siege" by myself, but then I thought it would be more fun to play with friends. When everyone came over to my house, we had so much fun playing that some of them even bought Playstations and started playing with me.

FACE:I watched Shinknownsuke do it and thought I could do it, but it was rather difficult to control. But, just like in sports, the more I played the game, the better I got at it. That was interesting.

Odawara:. there are a lot of things to learn, like maps and operators. In the beginning, I used to print them out and look at them as I went along (laughs). . I still don't understand some things, but everyone helps me out, so it's fun.

It's very moving to be able to collaborate with a game that you used to enjoy playing. And with the addition of "BEAMS T," we now have a solid lineup.

FACE:I happened to connect with Ubisoft , and we decided to collaborate. I talked to Beams T, which has been a great help to me, and they lent me their support.

Shinknownsuke:The theme is "Siege," but the premise was not to push the game too far, but to design something that I would want to wear first. Until now, there have been very few clothing items that blend the game and fashion together.

Numano:. and the size of the body, too.

Shinknownsuke:. yes, yes. I wanted to make a suggestion based on the size.

Clockwise from top left: "DHC" × 〈BEAMS T〉 Long T ¥6,050, Long T ¥6,050, Hoodie ¥9,680, Sweatshirt ¥8,800

TEITO:Since I work for a streetwear brand called "BOT," I thought it would be most natural for me to create a streetwear design. Therefore, I put a single point on the chest and a print on the back to incorporate my idea of streetwear design. The graphic on the back is also a cutout of a favorite element from the game.

Numano:. all the "DHC's" have different characters and are of slightly different generations. They all have their own tastes, so it is an interesting balance. It is unusual for such a team to collaborate not only with fashion but also with a game maker. Each of them designs "Siege" with their own interpretation of the game, so I think we can approach the game, art, and fashion from different angles.

Shinknownsuke:I have wanted to leave something behind ever since DHC was formed, but I never thought I would be able to collaborate with Ubisoft. I am happy to be able to work on a project together with the friends I used to play with at home. . I hope to continue to enjoy playing games in the future as well.
