People are turning their attention outside, and liberating outdoor sports are attracting attention these days. Many people are taking up golf for the first time. In the midst of all this, "Golf 5 for beginners only" was opened at Shinjuku Flags at the end of August, creating an environment where even beginners can easily start playing golf. In this issue, we welcome Yuuki Mihara, a TV personality with seven years of golf experience, as our navigator, and he takes us on a tour of the store with "that guy" who walks on two legs and says he has recently become interested in golf. We also asked Mr. "Golf5" to answer some questions that beginners may not be able to ask themselves.

Q.4 What is the attraction of the Golf 5 trial hitting area?

The trial hitting gauge found in golf stores is a space where people who are considering buying clubs can try them out. Mr. Mihara, who has a wealth of experience, was making pleasant sounds.

A space covered with nets that you see in golf stores. I see people hitting balls here, but are beginners allowed to use it? I have heard rumors that if you are not good enough to strike out you can't use it.

Golf 5:Anyone is welcome to use our store. Upon request, we can easily teach you how to use the measuring device and swing tips.

So even an amateur can tell if a club is good or bad if he or she actually plays with it?

Mihara:The sensor measures head speed, ball trajectory, left-right shake, etc., and this data is an important number that can be used as a reference for club selection. For example, if you are a beginner, you should focus on the left-right swing and the ease of catching the center of the ball, and choose a club that "flies straight" easily.

The "Golf 5 for Beginners" is a state-of-the-art measuring system that displays accurate data as soon as the player hits a ball. When Mr. Mihara entered the booth to experience the system, he recorded a score so good that the staff was surprised.

Golf 5:We have incorporated a measurement system that specializes in simplicity and clarity so that even beginners who do not have detailed knowledge can intuitively understand the data. And the projection of scores at your feet is a new technology created for use in this store.

Mihara:This is certainly the first time I have seen a trial gauge that displays data at your feet! It is nice to be able to see what kind of habits you have and where you can improve while in position. Although it is called "for beginners only," I think intermediate and advanced players will enjoy it as well.
