. This is a hooded parka with the hood tucked into the ribs around the neck, commonly known as a "post-attachment parka. . This is a reissue of a vintage classic.

When I was about 18 years old, there was an American fashion boom, and I have admired it since then. . I still look for the originals, but they are not very affordable and I almost never even see them. I'm really happy to see those items being reissued. If anything, it is more of a nostalgic feeling than a fashion point of view . They are masterpieces that I always wanted to wear.

What do you think when you actually try on the sleeves?

The fit around the neck is different from a regular parka , which I think is the real appeal. I liked that the fit was not updated because the hood was retrofitted. I am happy with the finish as I expected.

The tags are sewn on all four sides, commonly known as "tataki tags," and the design and the position of the tags sewn on the hood are the same as they were in those days.

That is what makes me feel good about it. I look forward to the texture of the fabric changing as it is worn, and I am excited to see how the tag will change over time as well.

. You wore wide chinos with the outfit.

. I tried to create an image of what I consider to be adult American casual, which is different from the American casual of the past. I think chinos are the best match for the royal-colored hoodie. If you wear vintage sneakers with them, you will look like a two-match match. . Therefore, I dare to wear white leather sneakers. I chose a leather cap as well, and tried to create a sense of quality with the accessories.

How do you wear hoodies?

The problem is how to make use of the hood. So, personally, I would like to wear it alone in the fall or spring. But I also want to wear it in the cold season, so I would put an inner layer on then. Basically, I like to wear hoodies as outerwear.

. I see. If you were to give advice to someone who wants to layer outerwear over a retrofit parka, what do you think would go well with it?

If the outer garment has a voluminous neck, I feel that the real appeal of the retrofitted hood would be diminished, so a thinner garment would be better. For example, a big size tailored jacket would probably enhance the appeal of the retrofitted parka.

STYLE 2 The form and texture remain the same , but the problem is eliminated.

Reverse Weave ®︎ you are wearing is made of our originally developed polypropylene L.W.D. L.W.D stands for Light, Warm, Dry, and is an unprecedented high-functional material.

The reverse weave ®︎ I know and the shape is the same, but it's a completely different fit. . if it's old clothes or something, it's just hard to dry. . But they absorb perspiration and are durable, so I wouldn't say that cotton is difficult to handle. However, I am still glad that the problem of difficulty in drying is solved. The traditional soft texture is still the same, so it's easy to move around in.

Do you feel your values have changed after wearing the new material, reverse weave ®︎?

I never imagined using polypropylene, but looking back at the past, I know that "Champion" is always evolving, and I think it's great that they are trying everything while keeping the brand's policy at the core.

When was the first time you wore Reverse Weave ®︎ ?

. I was in high school, I think. Originally, I was wearing a sweatshirt from "Champion" that was not reverse weave ®︎, but I bought a vintage reverse weave ®︎ because I longed for "made in the USA. At the time, it was common to coordinate with a true-to-size shirt, and since I was thin, it was very difficult for me to wear the loose-fitting Reverse Weave ®︎. . . Now, trends and body types have changed, so I can wear it without any trouble.

You chose black instead of the standard gray.

. I thought black would fit in better in the city. Just adding black to the usual shirt and denim shorts gives a tighter look. Also, I was in the mood to wear leather shoes, so I chose denim that was rigid and not faded. . I harmonized the whole look with the beautiful impression of the black polypropylene.

. It certainly looks classy.

As an underlying theme, I thought of the image of a young lad who loves vintage clothing. He finally buys a pair of Italian leather shoes and wears them all the time, though he doesn't really know what he's doing. . And because he's grown up, his denim shorts are too short, so his socks are showing, kind of like that (laughs). . Because he was raised well, he wears shirts under his sweatshirts and dress socks, and even with these little tricks, he doesn't look eccentric, because "Champion" sweatshirts are authentic items.
