How I live with Jeep®. Extra Edition "JOURNAL STANDARD relume Buyer Tadanao Matsuo

Jeep® is loved by a wide range of people, not only car enthusiasts, as a synonym for the American-born SUV. In the magazine "Finum Unplugged," Tadanao Matsuo, a buyer for "Journal Standard Relume," introduced his life with a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara. Here, we would like to expand on that lifestyle.

The car transports you to nature.

My old car was old and it was time to buy a new one. I like square cars, so I was thinking about buying a Jeep. I was thinking that if I were to buy one, it would be a Jeep.

Mr. Matsuo purchased a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara last summer. He had been considering a used car, but after consulting with his family, he decided to buy a new Jeep.

The previous car had a low ride height and was not suitable for the field. And the storage space was kind of cramped. We sometimes go camping as a family, so storage capacity was a must. My family also wanted a car with a lot of interior space. When you look for a car that meets those requirements, the choices are pretty limited.

In addition to his family's opinion, there are other episodes that contributed to Mr. Matsuo's decision to buy a Jeep.

Two of my friends were looking to buy a car at the same time. We were talking about what we were going to buy, and they both said the same thing: a Jeep. They were talking about what they were going to buy, and they both said the same thing: a Jeep. Since we all share a love of the outdoors, I thought, "Ah, I knew it. In fact, I had European cars in mind as candidates, but I decided on Jeep because I myself am an American lover, and I felt more comfortable with Jeep in the long run.

Tadanao Matsuo
While traveling around the world as a buyer for "Journal Standard Relume," he is also a father of a child and a kind father who cherishes his time with his family. He enjoys camping and mountain climbing, and this year he started snowboarding again, something he used to do when he was younger.

Through such a coincidence, or perhaps inevitability, Mr. Matsuo purchased a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara. Why did he choose the Wrangler among the various Jeep models available?

When I think of a new, square car, the only one that comes to mind is the Wrangler. I prefer a slightly angular car to one with a soft, streamlined image. Besides, I thought it would hold a lot of luggage for camping, etc., and I was also attracted by the performance of four-wheel drive. So I had no hesitation at all.

The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara has a manly, rugged presence. The classic form of the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara, which reminds one of the good old days, caught the heart of Mr. Matsuo, who says he loves old cars.

It's actually very comfortable to ride in. Despite its rugged appearance, it runs smoothly and is easy to drive because of its wide field of vision. The interior space is spacious and comfortable, and my wife and daughter like it as well as I do. We went camping with my family last fall, and we had no problem storing cooler boxes, tents, sleeping bags, and lots of other gear. I am very satisfied with it.

This car is indispensable when he spends time with his family on weekends, and also when he goes trekking, which he has been addicted to for the past few years.

I used to like camping and other outdoor activities. But I never got into serious activities such as mountain climbing, even though I was somewhat attracted to it. However, about three and a half years ago, I suddenly had an opportunity to go hiking on a mountain trail. I suddenly had a chance to start walking on mountain trails. Recently, I went to Mount Tateshina in Nagano Prefecture. The closer we got to the mountains, the muddier the roads became, and the road conditions were not always perfect. I felt very safe driving in the snowy mountains.

Leaving his home in Tokyo in the middle of the night, he drives slowly and carefully along the dark night roads, thinking about his destination, the mountains. For Matsuo, this time is a gateway to the extraordinary.

"We park the car at the foot of the mountain and go slowly step by step along the still-dark road. When you climb the mountain in this way, you can see many different landscapes. Just as you think you are in a forested area, the sky suddenly opens up and you are confronted with a landscape you have never seen before. It is really wonderful to see the sunrise on top of a mountain. The sky turns orange and the sun appears on the horizon. It is a very moving sight. When I think about it, my desire to see such beautiful scenery is probably stronger than my desire for adventure, and that's probably what drives me to the mountains.

A view that can only be seen there. Naturally, it is not just a matter of climbing the mountain.

I think there are certain conditions, such as season and time. I think there are such conditions. The air in winter is clean and beautiful. But it is cold, so it is hard to start climbing. On the other hand, in summer, the heat can be a bit of a challenge, but the sense of accomplishment you feel when you overcome these hurdles is unparalleled. I love mountains and nature because they provide me with a variety of scenery and feelings throughout the year.

While enjoying the scenery and nature, there are also times when the activity of trekking comes in handy at work.

I work as a buyer for Journal Standard Relume, which sells functional clothing, backpacks, and other gear. If you actually go to the mountains, you can test the performance of these items. Of course, we propose these items as fashion items, but as a man, I want to talk about the essential aspects of these items. The only way to do that is to do field tests by yourself. I can then feed back the results of my tests to the girls in the store, and they can make use of them in their customer service.

After enjoying nature to the fullest in the mountains and refreshing all bodily functions, they return home to their families. The sense of satisfaction gained from the activity is transformed into vitality, which is then applied to daily life.

For me, this car is like a gear that enriches my life. It makes me want to go out into nature because just driving around town is not enough for me. I don't think that would be the case with other cars. I think it fits my life.
