SOLOTEX® is a functional fiber developed by Teijin Frontier, a trading company of textile manufacturers.　Some people are familiar with the name, but may not know the detailed characteristics of SOLOTEX®.　F/CE, which proposes functional fashion, has also adopted SOLOTEX® in its new products this season, but what exactly attracted you to it? We will take a closer look at the individuality of "Solotex," as well as the two designers' impressions of its charms.

It also uses "SUPER MICROFT (SUPER MICROFT®︎)" for additional functionality.

This season's "F.C.E." lineup includes items that use "Super Mycroft," which is a combination of "MICROFT (MICROFT®︎)" for the warp threads and "SOLOTEX®" for the weft threads. Super Mycroft" is a high-density material that is super water-repellent and is also used in sportswear. The stretchiness of SOLOTEX® is added to this material for outstanding comfort.

Inspired by lotus leaves, which repel water, the special weave's concave-convex structure makes it super water-repellent. While most water-repellent treatments generally use chemicals, "Super Mycroft" is made water-repellent through its weave structure, so it lasts longer. It is safe in sudden rain and can be worn in outdoor scenes.
