20 pairs of portraits wearing the Diesel Library.

New Denim Collection by DieselDiesel Libraryis dedicated to the themes of sustainability and a genderless approach. The clothes are made with the future in mind, with an awareness of designs that are not influenced by trends, while also paying attention to the production background, such as minimizing environmental impact. In order to convey the appeal of these clothes, we have appointed 20 creators who will lead the new era. In conjunction with "Girl Huinamu," 10 pairs of styles are introduced in each of the first and second parts of the magazine. The second part of the series will also feature a number of unique individuals.

Shohei Matsunami

Actor, born in Saitama , Japan in 1993. In addition to his activities as an actor, he also works as a model, filmmaker, and columnist, and won the "J:COM Award for Excellence" at the Kadoma International Film Festival held in Osaka in October 2021 for the short film "Long Delivery," in which he played the lead role.

While you work as an actor, you also shoot videos with your own camera, don't you?

Matsunokawa:When I think about it, I like to go to the field. . when I go there, I get excited. I like to watch the work on the set, and I also enjoy watching the actors perform together up close. I have always loved the world of movies, TV dramas, and other visual media, and I wanted to be a part of it.

Do you enjoy the different moods and atmospheres on set?

Matsunokawa:Yes, that's right. Even if a film is shot in the same group for a week, the feeling of the film changes from day to day. It's interesting and fun to be moving in that way. . That's why I get nervous every time.

What do you think about when you model, as you did this time?

Matsunokawa:. I think about what kind of brand it is. When I was a student, a friend showed me a Diesel photo book, and I had a visual in my mind of a strong-looking male model with sweat dripping down his skin, so that's what I imagined today.

What did you think of the clothes in the Diesel Library?

Matsunokawa:. the design is basic and nice. I like this kind of design because I get embarrassed in eccentric clothes.

I'm also aware of sustainability.

Matsunokawa:Sustainable clothing is on the rise. However, I think that this is only convincing if the design is cool. The ideal would be to have attractive designs that make people want to pick them up, and at the same time, to have them be environmentally friendly. That way, even people who are not interested in the product may become interested in it. In that sense, I think the clothes in the Diesel Library are attractive.
