Tokyo Marathon is still wonderful.
Enomoto:I had a great time at the Tokyo Marathon. Anyway, it was fun.
Yamamoto:It was fun. Full marathons are tough, but fun. I thought so again.
AQ:The Tokyo Marathon is still wonderful. It is exceptional among all marathons.
Enomoto:It has been almost two years since the spread of the new corona began. Looking back, the Tokyo Marathon 2020 was held only for elite runners, and the Tokyo Marathon 2021 was finally held after two postponements. Many people, including myself, must have been waiting for this event to be held.
Yamamoto:It has been a really long time since a big race like the Tokyo Marathon was held. Many runners must have had their hearts dancing.
AQ:The weather was beautiful and the day was perfect for a marathon. Personally, I was able to set a good time, and the race was a great success.
Enomoto:AQ, what was your time this time?
AQ:Net time was 3 hours 05 minutes 56 seconds. Although I fell just short of my goal of under 3 hours 05 minutes, I was able to give it everything I had, and I am very satisfied with the result.
Mr. AQZAWA runs nimbly in the middle of the race.
Yamamoto:It was a great run, wasn't it? Did you feel that you were able to set the pace as you had anticipated?
AQ:The race was a bit crowded right after the start, but after the middle of the race, when the runners had broken up, the pace was almost as expected.
Enomoto:This time, all three of us started from E block. How did you feel about that?
AQ:At first I thought, "I'm starting from way back," but when it was all over, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I kept passing other runners throughout the race, and it felt great.
Enomoto:That sounds pleasant. I finished the race in 4 hours, 02 minutes, and 43 seconds. I had hoped to break the 4-hour mark, but I was not able to do so. Well, regardless of the time, I enjoyed my first full marathon in a long time from the bottom of my heart.
Smug and calm? Enomoto runs at his own pace and without hesitation.
Yamamoto:I finished the race in 4 hours, 07 minutes, and 51 seconds. All I was aware of was that I was going to enjoy my first full marathon in a long time as much as possible. I didn't care about the time at all.
Yamamoto looks like he is having a great time. This time, he wore a sack for the race.
