A brotherhood made at an unexpected time.

Tempo is an unusual name. What is the origin of the name?

Kennedy:I took the name "tempo" from the time of the beat (of the music). I am a DJ and love music, so the moment I thought of the name "tempo," I thought, "This is it! I thought, "This is it! The sound is cute, too.

What made you decide to bring in Tempo?

Kennedy:I had always wanted to keep a canine, and there was a time when I vaguely considered taking in a foster instead of going to a pet store. Then I happened to learn online that there was a facility near my house that sheltered small dogs, and I checked the list of foster homes. One of them was Tempo, and I saw his face and immediately knew I had to call the facility, and three days later I took him in.

What is Tempo like for you?

Kennedy:We are like siblings. I am an only child, but I feel like I have been blessed with unexpected timing. I have been helped mentally a lot, and when I see him running to greet me when I come home, it really heals me. People around me also tell me that it was fate that brought me together with Tempo. It seems that we are such a good match! I love Tempo so much that I can look at his face all the time (laughs).

Do you have a favorite food?

Kennedy:He has a big appetite and will eat anything, but the other day when I gave him strawberries, his appetite was amazing (laughs).

Strawberries are a surprise (laughs). What other things make you happy?

Kennedy:You can see how they get all excited when you give them food. Apparently, they are not interested in toys or anything else, and food seems to be number one (laughs).

You are a foodie, aren't you? What is your favorite item at Tempo?

Kennedy:It is a big stuffed bear. He is always sleeping on it and usually snoring (laughs).

Is there anything that is essential to the tempo?

Kennedy:The suction machine that sucks up the hair is a must-have item. It is useful because it quickly removes hairballs from clothes and can also be used as a brushing tool.

I see. Is there anything you would like to acquire in the future?

Kennedy:I am considering having a camera that would allow me to see what Tempo is doing while I am away from home. It would still be reassuring to be able to check on what is going on at home when I am outdoors.

Do you have anything you would like to tell people who are thinking about living with pets, such as dogs and cats?

Kennedy:Instead of buying a pet from a pet store, I would like to encourage you to consider checking out foster care websites and choosing a child who is having trouble finding an owner. Nowadays, you can find openings through Instagram, and I recommend that you do so, as there is a good chance that you will find the child you are looking for.
