Our idols, like our own children!
What is the origin of the name Jasmine?
Yuhei Murata:I wanted to name my canine Justice if I ever got a canine, but since it was a girl, my wife gave me the nod (laughs).
Shiho Murata:I was a girl and pretty like a princess, so I was more like Jasmine than Justice (laughs).
It's not easy to choose a name for the two of you (laughs). What made you decide to bring them in?
Yuhei Murata:I had always wanted to adopt a canine, and I had been looking into taking in a shelter dog while checking out foster homes as well as pet stores. I couldn't find a good time, but when I moved (last time), I made up my mind and had Jasmine come to me. She (Jasmine) was the first child I had ever welcomed, and I had never had a pet before.
Top left & right: When Shiho is at home, he is always near her, and only when she is not home does he climb on her lap or the like (laugh). Bottom left: When it is cold in winter, he wears a knitwear from "HUG O WaR" which was given to him as a gift. Bottom right: A reel and bag used for walks.
When was the best moment for you living with Jasmine?
Shiho Murata:It is when I come home, after all. When I come home after a long day at work, I am cheered up just by seeing Jasmine approaching me with her tail wagging happily!
Yuhei Murata:Since Jasmine's arrival, I've made some improvements in my personal inadequacies. Even when I was hungover and in a helpless state, Jasmine would lean in to me with the same attitude as usual. Seeing Jasmine like that made me realize that I had to change (laughs).
They are just like our own children (laughs). What is your favorite food?
Shiho Murata:We try to give Jasmine healthy, additive-free meals and treats. She loves to eat them, doesn't she?
Top/They have long torsos, so the knitwear by is a little short in length, which is also cute. Bottom left: She is always pampered by Shiho. Right-bottom: When he was a new little guy, his fur color and length were different from what they are now.
What makes Jasmine happy?
Yuhei Murata:She is a fussy eater and loves to eat, so when I say the word "food," she jumps up and down and happily approaches me even when she is sleeping.
Please tell us about Jasmine's favorite place in your home.
Shiho Murata:Jasmine herself has not found a permanent home yet, as she has just recently moved to a new house. In her previous home, she seemed to like to relax with her head on the elbow rest of the sofa!
We just moved here, so like you two, we are just getting started. Do you have a favorite toy?
Yuhei Murata:It's a wooden toothpaste toy. I am always gnawing on it (laughs). It kills two birds with one stone because it also brushes my teeth!
Are there any items for Jasmine that you would like to acquire in the future?
Yuhei Murata:I am thinking of buying a mat to put on the flooring. It will be slippery and hard to walk on, and I want to provide Jasmine with a comfortable home space.
That sounds delightful! What kind of personality does Jasmine have?
Shiho Murata:She is friendly and gets along easily with everyone. I see that she gets along with my friends very quickly.
Yuhei Murata:He can be a bit timid and petulant, but he is charming and cute! He is like an idol in our house.
