. The office is filled with all of Mr. Tsuboi's favorite things. Different types of surfboards, SUPs, mopeds, numerous clothes and shoes, lockers, and other fixtures. The industrial furnishings create a fresh yet rough atmosphere, as if it were a man's secret base.
I don't really like designer stuff . I prefer rugged designs that could be placed in a factory, product designs, or strong designs. It's not just a design that looks good, but a design that is durable and functional.
In this office surrounded by his favorite things, he thinks about interior design and uniform design. . On the other hand, this location also allows me to enjoy my hobby of surfing every day.
. "There are days when the waves aren't good and I don't go in the ocean, but for now, I look at the ocean every day. . I go back and forth to the beach and take a walk. . It is crowded in the early morning, so I usually go surfing before noon. When I go to the beach, I wear only flip-flops. I just take them off at the beach and dive into the ocean. These "Surfrider" flip flops have a thick sole and are easy to walk in.
Mr. Tsuboi's surfing style is not a technical shortboard, but a longboard. He compares the difference to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which he loves.
. shortboarding is hard and tough because you have to move the board a lot for tricks and such. In other words, it is a mixed martial art. On the other hand, longboarding is jujitsu . . The mellower and more relaxed you are, the cooler you are. The mellower everything is, the better. Even if I don't ride waves, just floating in the water astride my board feels so good."
