Salomon is a French-born outdoor brand that covers a wide range of activities including trail running and skiing. In recent years, Salomon has become popular in the fashion and lifestyle scenes, but the true value of its superior functionality can only be realized when used in the field. This project is about using Salomon's shoes and gear to enjoy the summer to the fullest. The title of this project is "HOUYHNHNM's x Salomon's Hands-on Summer Fun Tour. For the first installment, we took model Yuki Mihara, who loves running and mountain climbing, to the town of Minakami in Gunma Prefecture, known as a sacred place for outdoor activities!
みなかみならではのアクティビティを満喫した3人。そろそろ帰京に向けて出発の時間ですが、せっかくなので観光スポットにもサクッと立ち寄ってみることに。訪れたのは、JR上越線の土合（どあい）駅です。
この土合駅は駅舎と上り線のホームが地上にあり、下り線のホームが地下にある珍しい駅。
巨大なトンネル状の階段を下っていくこと約10分、ようやくホームに到着。
地上の駅舎から地下のホームまでの標高差は70メートルほど。階段を486段下らないとたどり着かないことから「日本一のモグラ駅」と呼ばれています。
旅の最後は、蕎麦で締め！
みなかみの名店「そば処 角弥」で手打ち蕎麦をいただきました。名物へぎそばはコシが強く、ツルッとした喉越し。「やっぱり水がきれいなところは蕎麦が美味しい！」と三原さん。カラッと揚げられた舞茸天ぷらも絶品でした。
