On the second day, unfortunately, it rained, a change from the previous day. It was a blessing because of the drought. ...... I checked and found that the Ehime area was still better. So we decided to go to Lake Kinzuna in Ehime Prefecture. Lake Kinzuna is so famous that a tournament is sometimes held there, and a Japanese record was once set there. It took us about an hour and a half from Takamatsu, where we were staying, to get there after visiting many udon restaurants.
With the rain that had fallen the day before, the amount of water in the rivers flowing into the lake was high. The rivers were muddy from the rain, but the main lake was clear and we could see many bass swimming in schools. It was hard to catch the visible bass, but we knew they were there, and we were all heated up at once! We started fishing as soon as possible!
Mr. Kawamura caught a lot of fish as soon as he arrived! And they are huge!
Kawamura:The water quality is naturally clearer, so they seem to be less cautious. On my previous visit, they were responding to my custom-made "Bottom Up" frog worm, the Scooper Frog, and I used it again this time and caught a 54cm fish. I also caught a fish on a spinnerbait, which didn't work last time, so today might be a good day for me.

There were many points where bass liked to swim in Lake Kinzuna, such as the river channel and the hollows in the shore. There were many small fish swimming around, and several schools of bass patrolling in circles, trying to feed on them. Sometimes, some bass would break the surface of the water and jump to prey on them, and I had a feeling that we would be able to catch more bass than at Kadoniri Dam yesterday. I continued to swing my rod amidst the pleasant sounds of birds and cicadas.
And Hiramoto, too! The way they were happy to catch fish at the same time as Kawamura-san was just like children. It's so funny.
