HOUYHNHNM: I heard that "Petit Standard" is a favorite model of Mr. Kaji himself.
Kaji: I started wearing [A.P.C.] denim quite recently. I thought the slim, slightly tapered silhouette looked modern.

Kaji: I thought it would be okay for young people to wear them at this length. As I said before, a tight length is of course fine, but personally I think it looks too calculated.

Kaji: Today's fashionable young people often wear secondhand clothes. I think it is one kind of fashion to enjoy the coincidence of wearing what you have as it is. It is a privilege of youth to be able to wear something that looks wild at first glance and still be fashionable.
HOUYHNHNM's: The denim has a beautiful shape, so I think it is possible to play with it a little.
Kaji: Yes, that's right. I think there is the goodness of the material. And, to put it another way, the same goes for the entire coordination. A camel coat is a classic item that has been around for a long time. By adding colored knitwear, a scarf, and white sneakers on the feet, you can create a classic style with a freshness that only young people can bring out. HOUYHNHNM's: This is a bit off topic, but do you wash rigid denim from A.P.C., Mr. Kaji?
Kaji: I would say not too much washing. One of the charms of rigid denim is that the more you wash it, the more the color fades and becomes whiter. However, when I was younger, it was fine because it looked good no matter how much the color faded and fell apart, but now it doesn't look good if the color fades too much, so it is important to balance the color of denim with the age of the wearer.
