Real Kangoo by real users.
This project is part of a series entitled "Assisting Hobbyists and Lifestyles. Among the 2,100 vehicles gathered at this event, there were many Kangoo models that had been customized to enrich the user's own lifestyle.
The most common use of the Kangoo roof was by people making effective use of the roof. Some users installed roof carriers to carry cases and bicycles, while others used the roof to attach tarps or roof tents for overnight stays. Users are using the Kangoo in unique ways. Perhaps the Kangoo is a car that inspires such inspiration.
Among the participants in this event, dog owners stood out in particular. Indeed, the spacious cargo bed of the Kangoo seems to be a comfortable place for pets. The Kangoo's appeal is that you can take your dog or pets with you anywhere you go in your car.
Some hip users even put motocross bikes on it. The contrast between the lovely design of the Kangoo and the hard look of motocross bikes gives it a unique presence. No ordinary passenger car would be able to emit this kind of aura. The Kangoo is the only car that can do this.
This is "Kangoo" by Taa. This is Taa's Kangoo, which has been customized down to the smallest detail to suit his hobby of camping.
I bought it because I admired the old-fashioned form of the "Kangoo. I especially like the deep green color. I made it completely from a camping perspective, and I made the cargo bed fully flat so that I can stay overnight in the car. I also made the L-shaped platform for this purpose myself as a DIY project. I often pitch a tent when camping, but the Kangoo is a really convenient car that allows me to stay overnight in the car for short periods of time.
Mr. Miyashita, who came from Nagano, participated with his "Kangoo" towing a trailer of his own making. He is very enthusiastic.
I have driven many Renault cars and this is my seventh. I especially like the Kangoo because it is very streamlined and easy to use. The trailer was made by reusing an apple box. My day job is as a ski instructor, but I love cooking and cars, so I use the "Kangoo" and this trailer to work as a garret shop in the off-season. It really does enhance my life to have this car."

I like the Kangoo for its small size, its ability to hold a lot of luggage, and its quick and easy driving. I'm driving a 2006 Kangoo with overseas specifications. I'm a bit of a geek, but I've done a little more work on the inside than on the outside: I've modified the factory audio system to work with Bluetooth, I've changed the key to a jackknife type, and I've also modified the engine a little bit (laughs). (Laughs) I surf on the weekends, so I load up the car with a board and head out to the ocean.
Like Asai-san, this "Kangoo" is owned by Satokko Channeru, whose hobby is surfing. The bar attached to the rear of the car is unique in that it can be used to hold a surfboard.
I wanted to see the Kangoo of various users, so I participated in this event. I really like the way it looks, and I think this kind of cute look is very attractive. It's very comfortable, and I can stuff four or five surfboards in it. It also has a bed kit, so I can go to the beach, stay in the car, and go back to the beach the next morning. It really fits my life so well that I can't find anything wrong with it (laughs)."
Mr. Sato, who enjoys fishing, has been driving his "Kangoo" for about 8 to 9 years. The cargo bed has been customized to hold many of his prized fishing rods, and he sometimes carries a kayak on the roof carrier.
I have always liked van-type cars and have driven many different types, but I always wanted to drive a 'Kangoo' because I like its cute looks. I usually like fishing, kayaking, sapping, and camping, so it's very convenient to have this much luggage on board. I carry not only fishing rods but also sap paddles inside. Personally, I like the way the hood looks. I like it because it gives me a sense of being a partner, as if all the memories of our time together are stored here.
Lastly, we introduce Mr. and Mrs. Tanaka's "Kangoo," which they have been driving for about five years, and which they were inspired to purchase after participating in the "Kangoo Jamboree" at the time.
I was originally interested in the Kangoo, and this olive-ish color had just been announced. So I went straight to Renault and bought it on impulse. It is spacious and comfortable, and suitable for overnight stays in the car, so I laid out cushions to make it more comfortable and used a homemade stand and perforated board to increase the storage capacity. I like to travel, so I once spent a week or so in this car visiting different places while staying in the car and enjoying a road trip-like trip."
The Kangoo Jamboree 2022 brought together a wide variety of Kangoo models. The number of visitors did not stop until the event closed, and everyone seemed to be enjoying the interaction among the users. Although they are all the same car, each has its own personality, and no two are exactly alike. This is what makes the Kangoo so appealing.
Above all, I was struck by the extent of the "love for the Kangoo" that users have for it, as well as the enthusiasm of Renault to create a place where this love can be shared. It is precisely because of the enthusiasm of both parties that the Kangoo has developed not only as a car, but also as a culture.
Next year, I am sure that the new Kangoo will be added to this list and new users will surely be seen. Let's wait with bated breath for the "Kangoo Jamboree 2023.
