-What is the point of wearing a double jacket today?
For the past few years, I have been in the mood for pants with a boot-cut silhouette, such as Levi's 517, but I felt that a jacket with rounded shoulders and a short length like Italian jackets did not fit well in terms of balance. I happened to find an "Old England" blazer at that time, which had padded shoulders and was a good length, so when I matched it with boot-cut pants, I was able to create a 70's atmosphere. I also tied up the upper half of the body in an authentic style, as I paired it with denim shorts.
-Do you have any criteria for choosing a double jacket, Mr. Oshima?
Actually, I am not used to wearing double jackets (laugh). They look a little ostentatious, and the deep front closure makes it difficult to match a variety of items in the V-zone, and I find it hard to layer them. I tend not to choose double-breasted suits that look too sharp, but rather double-breasted suits that are easy to wear. In that sense, the double navy blue blazer is relatively easy to style.
-What is your rule for wearing a double jacket?
I tend to wear it without the front buttons fastened. I personally like the fact that the double is cut square, which makes the garment look longer. For a long time, long-length outerwear has been the trend, so this time, I am wearing a short-length blouson, but I like the balance of daring to break the golden ratio.

Mr. Oshima showed us a new styling of a short blouson over a double jacket. When wearing outerwear, it is better to fasten the front buttons of the jacket. The slightly flared Levi's 517 and loafers also oozed a sense of calculation.

The V-zone is a royal combination of a blue shirt by Drakes and a regimental tie by Holiday & Brown. The blue color scheme is also a must to match the tone of the navy blue blazer. When the front is open, the V-zone also makes a strong statement.
