Born in 1986 in Saitama , Japan. After graduating from Kawamura Miyako Stylist School, she studied under stylist Takatomo Igarashi , and became independent in 2011. She has styled for fashion magazines, advertisements, brand catalogs, and runways, and works in a wide range of casual and formal styles.
Ida-san, what kind of mood do you have when you are choosing your clothes these days?
Ida: Depending on the occasion, I sometimes wear flared pants or wide pants, but recently I have been in a traditional mood again. So I thought these classically designed pants would fit my current mood, and I wanted to wear them with a shirt and knit.
. I see that you have chosen the "TAPERED" silhouette.
Ida: Yes, it is. The tight fit is also what I am in the mood for. However, I play soccer and have strong legs and hips, so there are some slim silhouettes that I can wear and some that I can't. .
But you can wear items from "Allely"?
Ida: They have a beautiful tapered silhouette, and furthermore, there is no pressure around the waist and calves, so they are slim but comfortable to wear. They have a beautiful silhouette and a good fit, like high-brand slacks.
. And you have combined it with a shirt and knit in a traditional way.
Ida: However, I always want to "break it up" rather than expressing a straight "traditional" look. Therefore, I put a work jacket and western boots together to create a baseline that is traditional, but with a 70's feel.
. The colors are so beautiful, and even though you are mixing work and western elements, there is still something colorful about the coordination.
Ida: . I was conscious of that. The jacket is a work jacket, but the color is not work-like, and the western boots have a heel, which I think gives them a sexy look. The length of the pants and boots is also exquisitely balanced.
Why did you choose the brown color for the pants?
Ida: . I wanted to wear brown in an elegant way. I personally like this color, and generally when I combine it with other colors, I tend to use one tone, black, beige, or other subdued colors, but this time I wanted to combine unexpected colors, so I mixed in blue tones.
It is like a stylist to dare to be unexpected, rather than to coordinate in a royal way.
Ida: . I respect what is royal , but I also want to try new things. By enjoying fashion in this way, I can always keep my mind fresh.
If you were to wear these pants in another outfit, what would you wear with them?
Ida: This time, I tried on these pants with a more design-oriented top item. I thought they went well with them, and I thought they would go well with that kind of clothing as well. So I would like to try more mode combinations.
Is that because of the beautiful silhouette of the pants?
Ida: I think so. When I like the silhouette of a pair of pants, I enjoy coordinating my daily look with a different top. I think I can do that with these pants. And, as I mentioned earlier, I have strong legs and backs, so I am very careful when choosing pants. I feel that the fit of these pants is designed to overcome this complex, making them easy to wear for anyone. On top of that, the silhouette is casually designed, which makes me feel good when I wear them. . I think the simple but well-calculated silhouette is really attractive.
