Early Winters Photographer's Jacket
A gem for connoisseurs.
Last year, I heard the news that Early Winters, a company that produced high quality outdoor products from the 70s to the 80s, was to reissue its products under its own name. I wondered what they would release for the first time, thinking it would be a standard mountain parka, but it turned out to be the "Photographer's Jacket," a jacket in the tradition of the safari style popular in the 1980s and known as a hidden masterpiece even among vintage clothing enthusiasts. It features a film pocket on the chest and a tripod pocket on the back, and has detail work that is not found in the fishing and hunting category, which also offers pocketful clothing. It would be good to insert it as an inner layer of the photografer jacket or khaki hunting jacket I mentioned earlier. In January, I visited Paris Fashion Week on my first overseas business trip since the Corona disaster. Second time in the U.S.
In early February, I will be going to San Diego, U.S.A. for a photo shoot. This is the second time in my life that I have been to the United States. The first time was also for work, four years ago, in San Francisco and Yosemite. When I suddenly felt like wearing a plain crewneck sweatshirt, I flashed back to the memory of reading a notebook written by Yuya of "Cabaret POVAL" about a year ago. The crewneck sweatshirt that Yuya wrote about in detail in the note was a model released in the previous season named "Alpha", and this "Wardroom" is a derivative model of the "Alpha". The "Wardroom" is a derivative of the "Alpha". Gray? Beige? I first became acquainted with rapper JEVA around 2017, when his album titled "Jun Ito," which is his real name, was released. I met him when I was allowed to visit Mie Prefecture for an interview for a magazine I was working on at the time. Personally, what I like most about JEVA is that he raps about his own life in his own words. I think it is important to rap about one's life in one's own words in any environment, whether it is saggy, flirtatious, or whatever, so I was particularly moved when I heard "RAP" from "Jun Ito" at a live performance. A 7-inch EP featuring "Sarameshi," a song synonymous with JEVA, and "Repetition," a new song, has been released. Last October, the real (?) When JEVA appeared on NHK's "Sarameshi," narrated by Nakai Kiichi, I was so happy that I immediately sent a line to him, and I think his appearance on "Sarameshi" is a form of HIP HOP dream, I hope that JEVA's rap music will reach more people.

One Sunday night, I was sitting on the sofa browsing through Instagram when my hand stopped on a post by Shun, who works at "The Apartment" in Kichijoji, Tokyo. He was introducing a knitwear brand called "172," and all of their hats had a unique hand-knit feel to them, especially the one in the shape and color that Shun was wearing as a model. It said they would be available in the brand's online store in a few days, so I immediately set an alert for that date and time. I was able to successfully purchase it later that day. I have never met the owner of "172," but it seems that the brand is made by a woman who makes each and every item by herself. I hope to meet her someday and thank her for her kindness. Of course, brands and manufacturers with name value are great, but it would be tasteless to just wear all of them. If you throw away all the brand names, what's left for you? I remember Kendrick Lamar RAPing about this.

My mother was born and raised in Shinjuku City, so when I was a child, I used to go to Shinjuku Gyoen and Kanda River to see cherry blossoms in spring, Hanazono Shrine's night festival in summer, and Suwa Shrine, which we called "Suwa-sama" in the New Year, for the first time.
