The North Face Purple Label and a nature tour of Daikanyama.

After wandering around Daikanyama in the morning, I visited COW BOOKS, located along the Meguro River, when my steps were getting heavy. This store is a bookshop named after such slow cows' footsteps.

The owner, Yataro Matsuura, who is also an essayist, and his staff have selected a wide range of secondhand books, from novels and picture books to photo collections and catalogs, all of which are unique and full of in-depth knowledge and expression. The shelves that cover the entire wall are filled with books of various genres, so it is easy to have a chance encounter with a book.

He is an artist and his usual routine is to look for creative ideas here. . Perhaps because he was wearing natural dyed clothes that day, he was very interested in books related to nature. While it is nice to take your time to flip through the pages in the store, we recommend spending time on the bench at the eaves of the building to try out the books. It's almost cherry blossom season and the Meguro River offers a beautiful view. The store also offers coffee, so with a drink in hand, it's a great way to enjoy reading by nature.
