At 6:30, we gathered at "Fishing Boat Yoshinoya" in Urayasu. After a brisk exchange of greetings, the teams set sail! We headed out to the first point. The temperature was 8 degrees Celsius and the sky was clear. There was no wind and the sea was calm. We prepared as we moved from one spot to another.
The main lure we will be using this time is this kind of lure. Metal jigs, in other words, lumps of metal. The weight and size of the jig changes depending on the depth of the water and the current. We drop them and reel them in to catch sea bass.
I will also use various other lures depending on the situation.
After a short boat ride, we arrived at the "Tower of the Wind" towering above the sea near the Tokyo Bay Aqualine. Now, the game is about to begin!
After about 5 minutes, the GO OUT fishing club is buzzing. ...... No way, already!
The first one to hit the boat was Mr. Ryuya. Judging from the flexing of the rod, it must have been a pretty big fish. We could see the shadow of a fish.
A black sea bream, 55 cm in length! The over 50cm fish is called "no yearling" and is considered the goal of black sea bream fishing.
But the target species is sea bass, so no can, no can!

Ichikawa:I thought jigging was supposed to attract them by shaking (pulling up the rod), but the sea bass get wary when the lure moves violently. I heard that from the GO OUT side. The alertness is the same as that of black bass. It is interesting that even when jigging the same lure, the way you move it differs depending on the species of fish.
