FISHING IN THE RHYTHM

HOUYHNHNM FISHING CLUB enjoys the rainy season. First time at Lake Mishima and lots of excitement!

The air is still and heavy this time of year, and there's no use in feeling down about it! HOUYHNHNM FISHING CLUB headed for Lake Mishima in Chiba Prefecture with a breath of fresh air, saying, "What's wrong with the rainy season? We hadn't been to the Boso area for a long time, as we had recently been going to managed fishing spots and the sea. And since most of us were here for the first time, our hearts were filled with excitement and excitement. It was cloudy, rainy, and sunny, and only one of us caught a lot of fish!

50UP bass hit!

The temperature had risen to a balmy 28 degrees, hot and humid! But the members were still full of hope because they had been fishing a while ago.

Saisu:I usually only use larger topwaters, but since I'm here, I get to use a variety. Worms and spinnerbaits are also fun.

Ichikawa:I caught one earlier, so I decided to be bullish on the rest, and I'm exploring again with topwater. Where are the bass hiding? Let's go around and see.

Ishii:I am satisfied with the number. Then there was the size. I throw big lures, such as Daiwa's FUKUO and the Jointed Craw, which is a collaboration between F-LAGSTUF-F and GAN CRAFT. I don't fish aggressively because I want to take good care of them (laughs).

Ikemoto:I was lost in the lure world. I've been using the Death Adder by Depths and the HP Shad Tail by O.S.P., which Bob (Ishii) gave me, in combination with the STEEZ cover chatter by Daiwa, but the response hasn't been good.

Komatsu:Was the one I just caught a maggot? No bites at all. I've reopened my mind and am dropping the worm and chomping it like hole fishing. I think I should do some swinging to improve my casting.

Where have all the bass gone? There are no hits from earlier. The sun came out, the temperature rose, and the underwater conditions may have changed drastically. The end time was approaching, but the Saisu & Ichikawa pair was not giving up. We thought they had gone somewhere together, but they came back excitedly.

Ichikawa:It was close!

Saisu:I can't believe the drag was that loud!

When we talked to him, he told us that he had an offensive fight with a big bass.

Saisu:I saw a big bass in the back, so I threw a sinking worm I borrowed from Mr. Ichikawa, a "Issei" worm, with no sinker, and it bit. The pull was so strong that I thought it was a rooted fish. I managed to reel it in, but it got caught in a tree, loosened the line, and escaped.

Ichikawa:But they were still in the same spot, so I threw the same worm in a different color, and they bit again!

Saisu:Probably the same bus. The way it bounced was the same.

Ichikawa:I managed to reel it in, but it got away again. It was the biggest one of the day.

Saisu:It was really big, about 45 centimeters.

Ichikawa:No, it was 50 centimeters. It was amazing.

Ishii:I'm talking the most today, but really? (laughs).

Ikemoto:You talk like you caught it (laughs).

And so the day came to an end. Some people caught a lot of fish, others didn't, but it was a fun day anyway.

Ishii:It was my first time at Lake Mishima, but with dozens of bass swimming in front of me, I only felt like I could catch them. In fact, I did catch them and had a lot of fun. There are many other points of interest, so I would like to come back again.

Saisu:It was my first time here, too, so I didn't know the point, but the atmosphere was certainly good. I regret that I chose the wrong lure. However, I was able to throw lures that I would not have used otherwise, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Ichikawa:I had a great time at Lake Mishima for the first time this year. I didn't catch any big bass, but I was able to reconfirm that the lake is fishable. There were not many other anglers today, so I was able to fish at my favorite spots as I wanted. I would like to come back again.

Ikemoto:There were a lot of bass swimming and I felt like I could catch them. thanks to SWAGGER, I have more lure options, but maybe I haven't sorted out what I want to do. I will do my best to master each and every lure.

Komatsu:I realized the importance of casting. I need to be able to drop the lure on the target spot. It was interesting to see how the fishing conditions changed with the weather, with rain and heat. I would like to come back again to practice fishing.
