Imports from the U.S. East Coast, dead stock and vintage clothing from the 1990s are mixed with a unique sense of modernity. The Apartment" is a well-known store in Kichijoji that proposes fashion closely linked with culture.
We continue to promote the outdoors in the fall and winter season, but we are incorporating the mood of the retro outdoors of the 1980s rather than the outdoors of the tech world. This time, I coordinated my outfits mainly with the store's color, yellow. It takes courage to use this color on a large area, but I dared to express it in a gradation to create a fresh style.
The yellow, which is rarely used in military wear, gives a fresh impression. The Apartment" also incorporates East Coast nuances with "Timberland.
The bright yellow outerwear is a special order of Marmot's standard shell jacket "All Weather Parka" with details of an outer coat from EQUAX. Normally, a fur attachment is attached to the hood so that it can be removed, but we eliminated the fur and left the attachment in place, and added pockets on the sleeves.
The pants are based on the TRU-SPEC military pants that I always wore when I was buying, and are STABRIDGE buyer pants made in colors and materials not usually used for military cargo pants. The Timberland brand, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, was added to the mix to give a touch of the 80's while retaining the East Coast atmosphere.
It would be uninteresting if the cosplay were to follow the trendy 90's style of dressing, so we have created an 80's nuanced look using special-order, original, and other carefully selected items. This is one of the styles we hope you will refer to this fall/winter.
