HOUYHNHNM RUNNING CLUB♡ Special Edition -I went for a run downtown wearing Ijpigi sunglasses! ~ (Japanese only)

TOTONOU (revitalize) Laboratory, a.k.a. TOTOKEN, is the new base of our "HOUYHNHNM's Running Club♡". As a persimmon drop event, we held a group run for the French-born eyewear brand "IZIPIZI". A total of 30 runners wearing sunglasses from the sports collection, which are light, comfortable, friendly and casual in design, and have a friendly price range, ran around the Sumida River, a new place for running.

Come to downtown to feel the traditions of Japan!

The course for the day was an easy 5-km run for beginners. The route starts from TOTOKEN and runs along the Sumida River, visiting such Ryogoku tourist attractions as Yokoami Park, the former Yasuda Garden, and the Kokugikan.

Once we started running, we arrived at the Sumida River in less than two minutes. The road is wide and bicycle traffic is prohibited, so even a large group of 30 people can run without stress.

Unfortunately, the day was cloudy and the Sky Tree seen from the riverside was a bit overcast, but the temperature was pleasant enough to realize that the best season for running was approaching. In addition, the Sumida River has a wide open sky, giving us a sense of openness. Even with sunglasses on, I did not feel the visibility was too dark. The black color is sufficient for visibility, but the pink lenses have the effect of providing brighter vision. Since ultraviolet rays are emitted even on cloudy days, it is useful to have sunglasses that can be used easily.

Traveling north along the Sumida River at a good, leisurely pace, we arrived in Ryogoku. We strolled through Yokoami Park's Reconstruction Memorial Hall, the former Yasuda Garden, and in front of the Ryogoku Kokugikan, lined with streamers, and enjoyed three short but interesting spots where we could experience Japanese traditions.
