You are going to hold an event this time, aren't you?
Kaneko: That's right. A pop-up titled "Practice of Bau Wow" will be held at "BOUTIQUE" on December 2 (Sat.) and 3 (Sun.).
I'd like to be able to see the processed and unprocessed items side by side for comparison. I'm looking forward to it.
Rights holder: I think I am looking forward to it the most. I think I can show a different side of the brand by working with cool people who have such a well-honed sense.
Have there been any changes in you while working with Mr. Kaneko?
Rights holder: I usually don't talk much about clothes. But when I meet Mr. Kaneko, we talk about clothes all the time. That is why I am quite inspired by him. I always wonder what he is thinking (laughs). (laughs). I feel like I am always stimulated, and ideas that will lead to the next project are born.
Kaneko: I really like your choice of original material, and I am attracted to your sense of style.
Rights holder: When I look at Kaneko-san's vintage clothes, I think to myself, "What kind of taste does he have to pull these out? That is how I get to know his tastes. With Kaneko-san, sometimes I get an answer that is different from what I thought I was getting, and it simply gives me a new perspective.
Do you feel more motivated as a clothing lover?
Rights holder: That's exactly how I feel. When I go to the "boutique," I see that they are very selective.
Kaneko: I would like to go abroad and dig more carefully, though.
Rights holder: The originality is amazing. It's all about charm.
Kaneko: Bow Wow's clothes also make me want to style and arrange them in my own way. This was my first visit to this store, and I was convinced. But if I were to put Mr. Gongmori's clothes in my own store, I would mix them in a different way. That kind of chemical reaction occurs. For example, when I think of what to make to match with the items in this collection, my imagination is stimulated again. It's very fun to play with.
Rights holder: I appreciate it very much.
Kaneko: There are so many things I want to do, so I hope we can do something again.
Rights holder: I would very much appreciate it.
So you are saying that this may be an ongoing effort in the future?
Kaneko: That's right. There are some things that I would like to see Mr. Gommori create. I have a strong sense of trust in him.
Rights holder: I'll put in an invisible breath (laughs).
