PROFILE
Born in 1990. After learning technical skills at a studio in Tokyo, he became independent and is now working as a freelance photographer. In addition to shooting for magazines and advertisements, he has published two photo books, "Between Me & the US" and "THE LAUNDRIES.

Now, Mr. Yellowtailoka's designs are not the only highlights of this store. The photographs displayed in the store are one of them. These are documentary photos by photographer Kosuke Hamada, which follow the nature in Tokachi, Hokkaido, as well as the farming and forestry operations that take place there. The projected scenery brings a sense of the season to the store.
The works displayed in the store were taken during a trip to Tokachi in February of this year. The theme of the shop is the inheritance and circulation spun in Tokachi, and in the winter, we display works focusing on the forestry industry."

We only have a limited number of photos on display in the store, but we distribute these photo books so that people can see the many photos we have taken in Tokachi. The title is "WISH YOU WERE HERE (I want to be here with you). It is taken from the English title of the movie "Otoko wa Tsuraiyo: Welcome Home, Tora-san. I put the idea of telling many stories while traveling around the country like Tora-san."
No "Woolrich Outdoor Label" clothing appears in the photo collection. That is why the local atmosphere is conveyed to the viewer. It is a device that makes you want to look back at the photos whenever you feel like it.
For the cover, I chose Ezo spruce craft made from trees in Hokkaido. In the future, I plan to use materials and colors that match the land and theme of the photo shoot. For the book design, we commissioned Kentaro Nakamura, a Kyoto-based artist. For printing, we asked Fujiwara Printing, a printing company that specializes in art-related printing. I also want you to pay attention to the detailed coloring by the print director. It really brings out the expression of the photos and conveys the local atmosphere.
A limited number of copies of Ms. Hamada's photo book will be distributed to those who purchase the product.

It's a very good picture, isn't it? The store is very well done by having Mr. Hamada's photographs displayed in the store. The photos change with the seasons, and I can't wait to see what effect they have on the space. I'm really looking forward to it.
