Maintenance of "movement" and "stillness" to regulate the mind and body - Part 2

This year is the year to get healthy! But, as is often the case in January every year, it is difficult to take action. But in 2024, why don't you make this "this year" a reality? The secret to a healthy work life and a fulfilling personal life lies in daily workout and conditioning. We interviewed eight people who are practicing these skills! We will introduce the art of physical and mental maintenance from two perspectives: "movement," which involves physical exertion and sweat, and "stillness," which involves resetting the mind without putting a burden on the body. In the second part, we interviewed five people who incorporate "stillness" into their conditioning routines.

CONDITIONING 04. Supplement Supplements bring more than just physical health.

- How did you become food conscious?

At the time, I was eating whatever I wanted every day and drinking every night, but my physical exam (physical checkup) showed that I was not doing well, so I thought, "This is bad. The doctor also said, "This is not good.

- How does food affect the body and mind?

Is it carbohydrates, protein , or other nutrients? Taking in the right elements according to your body's needs can have the benefit of making a big difference in how you look and feel. Since an excessive intake of any element will move you toward the bad side, I feel that by consuming in moderation, both the brain and the body work properly, and I feel that I have more normal judgment and a calmer mind than in the past.

- Is there anything related to food or supplements that you would like to try in the future?

I have done short term fasting of 2-3 days, but have not tried long term fasting yet , so I would like to give it a try. I am also interested in a facility that will support me, as I may feel discouraged if I do it on my own.

-I'm not sure what a "supplement" is, but what does it really do?

As the Japanese translation of the word "supplement" suggests, it is often difficult to obtain from the food we eat, although it is a necessary element. . Therefore, I feel that it is essential to make up for the missing elements. I don't think you need to think too hard about it at all , and it is worthwhile to start as soon as possible.

Here are some of Mr. Namura's favorite products.

MYVITAMINS
omega-3

Fish oil contains omega-3, an essential fatty acid that cannot be produced by the body, and is high in EPA and DHA, which support the normal functioning of the body's central nervous system and are difficult to supplement in the normal diet. I have been taking this product for several years because I want to live an even more active life.

MYVITAMINS
vitamin D3

. "I have the impression that people from countries that get a lot of sun tend to be more cheerful and active. Isn't that because they have a lot of vitamin D3, which is produced in their bodies when they are exposed to sunlight? It is quite difficult to actually get it from food, so I have been taking it for several years to maintain a strong body that doesn't lose out day after day."
