I fell in love with this "Daiwa Pier 39" photographer's jacket at first sight when I saw it at a trade show. I was immediately struck by the visual impact of the many pockets on the jacket, just as it looks. Bau Wow x Herb Ritts collaboration series
Future Vintage.
Looking back, it was vintage clothing that got me interested in photography and photographers. Bruce Weber and Richard Avedon go without saying, and when I became fascinated with America, I bought photo books by William Eggleston and Stephen Shore, among others. The same goes for Herb Ritts, who is featured here. I came across him while digging through vintage photo t's. I was intensely attracted to the powerful forms of the subjects. This collaboration with "Bau Wow" is a collection of sweatshirts and long T-shirts featuring carefully selected photos by a designer who claims to be a fan of Herb Ritts. In addition, the vintage treatment, a specialty of "Bau Wow," gives the items an aura of being from that time. The more you wear it, the better it will become. I am sure that 10 to 20 years from now, this item will be appreciated as a vintage piece.

One of the factors that contribute to running as a culture is the existence of independent running brands. Reminiscent of the Uraharajuku of the past, brands launched by individuals are gaining popularity locally as leaders of the scene. Among these brands, "RYOGEN" will be newly launched in the spring/summer of 2024. The brand name comes from the four-letter idiom "燎原之火. Although it may seem a bit ostentatious, the lineup of the first collection is well worth seeing. Among them, I was personally interested in these two items. I am considering replacing my favorite wallet because it is getting tired. I am currently using a long wallet with excellent storage capacity, but it is too bulky when I carry it around. I am a sacoche person, so I would prefer a smaller wallet, but I still want the storage capacity.... The answer to such selfishness is a product from "itch," with "stuffing" as its underlying theme. It looks like a typical bifold wallet. But when opened, it holds about 20 bills and has a large coin purse. It can hold 10 cards, which is a surprise, and two cards can be inserted into each holder. Satoshi Ogawa's book "About the Gold You Were Supposed to Get"
First time, Tetsu Ogawa.
I decided to read at least one book a week in 2024, and as of the end of February, I have managed to continue. This thought was triggered by the short story "About the Gold You Were Supposed to Get". It was published in October 2023. I had never read any of Tetsu Ogawa's books before, and when I saw an article on the Asahi Shimbun's book site, Kosho Kohi, the title and content of the interview, "I don't understand the desire for approval," made so much sense to me that I went to a bookstore the following day. I was reading other books at the time, so I put the book on my bookshelf and started reading it at the beginning of the year. The first thing that surprised me was that the protagonist of all six stories in the book was the novelist Satoshi Ogawa. I couldn't help but be drawn in by the fact that the author portrays himself not in an essay but in a novel. I think the best way to understand the content of the short stories is to read them, but personally, I was reminded of something someone once said to me: "Even if you are looking at the same thing, it is important to look at it from what angle you are looking at it. You never know what will become a hint for your project or life, and this book reminded me to read as many books as possible.

Photography is amazing.
I think everyone has items that they just end up buying, like t-shirts, socks, sneakers, etc. For me, it is caps. I bought this one as a commemorative merchandising item when I stopped by PGI, a gallery in Higashi Azabu, during one of the exhibitions that photographer Takenouchi-san was holding in several locations. Takenouchi's photographs have a sharpness that can only be achieved digitally, which is not possible with film, and draws you in with a gust of wind. I felt as if I was in the midst of the natural scenery, or watching it from a great distance, alone and isolated. The greenish-blue colors were very comfortable. The title of the exhibition at that time, "WARP AND WOOF," is embroidered on the cap.
There is also a photo book of the same title, "WARP AND WOOF," which is embroidered on the cap. The photo book was great, but the larger works in the exhibition were exceptional.

I notice that I seem to have more hats every season, but most of them are caps. In an effort to add a few different types to my collection, I occasionally try on hats. Kijima" by "ILEVE," which has become a regular item for me.
I found a hat made of a high-density chino cloth made of organic sweet-twist cotton, which is used as a key material for this season's clothing, and an ultra-thin rubber-coated article. The waxed cord and leather stopper add a nice roughness to it. The crisp bounce from the thin coating, which is not exaggerated, and the casual arrangement.
