Kaneko: I kept in touch with Mr. Yuge from time to time, and we went out for dinner to discuss events, and we kept in close communication. I got to know Mr. Yuge only a few years ago, but every time I met him, I got to know him better and better, and my desire to wear "AOR" clothes grew stronger and stronger.
Bow shaving: When we have a drink together, Mr. Kaneko will tell me directly why he can't wear "AOR" and give me his opinion as a representative of clothing lovers.
Kaneko: I was also able to see the points where I could rearrange them and wear them, and I was able to confirm that I had not made a mistake by giving them proper shape (laughs).
Bow shaving: I'd love to shoot some looks for "AOR Classics."
It would be nice to wear them as a set to enjoy a total coordination, but they also seem to match with the clothes you have in your wardrobe, don't they?
Kaneko: That's right. Like what Mr. Yumigami was talking about earlier when he was younger, you could wear a COMME des GARCONS shirt with a Levi's® 501® and then throw an "AOR Classics" jacket or blazer over it.
Do you think this initiative will continue in the future?
Kaneko: The form and other details are original to the AOR design, but the factory and production management are done from a different background. I am making these items completely in Kaneko's hands. I really enjoy that, and I want to do more things with it.
