Style 07: Genta Narita with FUGA JACQUARD The cushioned sole also feels moderately hard.
Do you usually wear sneakers rather than leather shoes?
Yes, most of them are from sports brands. My job requires me to be on my feet all the time, so it's hard for me not to wear sneakers (laughs). (Laughs.) For a while I wore leather shoes made based on the human anatomy, but even then my feet started to hurt. Since then, I have always worn sneakers.
How do you feel about the comfort of "Date"?
The moment I put my foot through it, I felt a strong sense of cushioning, but when I walked, I felt a good degree of hardness in the sole.
I think it was the gel in the insole that gave me the feeling of cushioning.
I like the fact that the cushioning is not only soft but also maintains firmness. Soft cushioning may be soft and comfortable, but it also makes you tired if you stand on it for a long time. In that sense, the hardness gives a feeling of elasticity, which I think is also good for functionality.
What do you think about the design and the distinctive volume?
I wear only black shoes in winter, but in spring I want to wear shoes with a white base and a good amount of added color. I think these sneakers are perfect for that kind of mood. As for the volume, I usually wear shoes of this size, so I was able to incorporate them into my coordination without feeling uncomfortable.
What did you have in mind for the coordination?
I thought of coordinating a set-up with sneakers. Not too tight, not too casual. I tried to find the right balance between the two.
The shirt looks great.
It's decorated with floral embroidery, and the shirt gives it a spring-like look.
If you were to wear "Date" outside of work, what kind of situations would you wear it in?
They are comfortable and I would like to wear them when I am active and moving around. That might be a good time to go on a trip, for example.
