STYLE with WEAPON VTG HI
High-cut, with a basket-like appearance now.
WEAPON VTG", a reproduction of the original archive model HI" is the only high-cut model to be revived this time. While maintaining the appearance of a basketball shoe, its form and design draw the eye to the foot, and the elegant color scheme of white and navy is also a key point.
The design of the Y-shaped support cutting system (commonly known as Y-BAR), a symbolic part of the "weapon" that holds the ankle firmly in place, is also still in place. The Y-BAR system is not only comfortable to wear, but also plays a role in the design. Mr. Kubozuka was impressed by the comfort and design quality of the shoes.
Kubozuka: The Y-BAR stands out on the simple upper, and there is nothing monotonous about the design. I climbed a little high and hung my feet when posing for a photo shoot, but it was easy to move around without my feet shifting inside the shoe.
I played basketball in elementary school, and the bashes I wore then felt uncomfortable in terms of landing cushioning. However, "Weapon" did not bother me at all. I knew it was a pair of "Converse" shoes, and they fit comfortably on my feet.
Kubozuka has a long relationship with "Converse," as he says "Weapon" fits his feet.
Kubozuka: When I was in elementary school , I was bought my first pair of "All Star" sneakers. So, my shoelace-type sneaker debut was "All-Stars. Even in junior high school, I wore them until they were falling apart. I think "Converse" is easy to pick up and versatile enough for anyone to incorporate into their fashion.
