Born in Okayama, Japan in 1990. After dropping out of Keio University, he formed the comedy duo "Air Stairway" with Suzuki Mogura in 2012, and won the King of Contest championship in 2021. He enjoys watching soccer games, taking saunas, and trying out the latest health tips. His daily routine is to take a cold shower first thing in the morning.
The name is a clump because it was stuck in a corner.
When I first saw them on TV, I was strangely impressed by the name "Katamari" as well as the name of the duo.
Katamari:When I asked my mother about my stage name, she said, "Since you've been stuck in a corner since you were little, why not just use a lump?" So I decided on this name.
I would think that you had a dark childhood, but you were a soccer player, weren't you?
Katamari:You did this in elementary, junior high, and high school. I was stuck in the corner, and that habit may have been part of it. I didn't want someone to take my back.
Do you still like to play soccer?
Katamari:I often watch foreign soccer. I have always liked Arsenal, so I mostly watch the Premier League. I am also a member of Mr. Moriyama's soccer team, and I actually play on his team quite often.
