Katamari-san, did you know about NICOANDO?
Katamari:Of course. You know, I once received a letter from a radio listener saying that he had seen me at "NICO & Co. In the end, it was not me.
Today, you have worn a variety of clothes. Are there any parts of your personal life that are similar to your own?
Katamari:It's totally possible. And that's the thing, many of them don't make much of a statement. The pants are all cool and look really good for the coming season. However, tank tops and sunglasses are just a different me.
You say you like things that don't make a statement, but I would like to know why.
Katamari:Maybe it's the desire to blend in with the people around me. If I stand on the front lines too much, I get nervous. It is easier to do something when I blend in. I feel this way more strongly now that I am a comedian.
I saw you without the glasses for the first time, and I got a totally different impression. You are very powerful.
Katamari:I used to stand on stage with naked eyes to blur my vision. But since I couldn't see the lines, I started wearing glasses one day. That's when I started wearing them, and that's when I started getting a lot of traction in the theater. I think they give just the right small touch.
Is it the feeling of small things?
Katamari:Yes, it is. It's like being licked a little. I am more comfortable with that, and I like junior staff members who take a lick at me.
You said that the clothes are also used to create a sense of accessories.
Katamari:Maybe. That's why I don't usually wear sunglasses either, because they make me look scary.

By the way, which of the pieces you wore today was your favorite?
Katamari:The styling of shorts was fresh. It was the complete opposite of what we usually do. The rest of the colors and designs were just like usual. And maybe it was just my imagination, but it seemed like there were a lot of vintage clothes.
That's right, many of the items in this summer's "NICO & Co." collection are inspired by vintage clothing.
Katamari:I thought it was a little bit different from what I had imagined. Especially the T-shirts and shirts were a little different from what I had imagined. They were also very comfortable to wear. I don't know if my words are convincing, but I really liked it.

Katamari:I had a plan to win the "buzzword of the year" award. My gag was, "Great! Great!” I want to win the award. I would like to win the award for that gag.
