A notable men's brand will debut this fall/winter . JOURNAL STANDARD, which celebrated its 20th anniversary this year, recently ,NEWS article hereAs mentioned in the previous issue, an event titled "Omnibus Exhibition" is currently being held at JOURNAL STANDARD Shibuya. Featuring a wide variety of artists and media accounts, including photographers, graffiti artists, and independent cultural zines, the exhibition is unique and full of individuality. In this special feature, we introduce the highlights of this "Omnibus Exhibition. Let us unravel the charm of the works.

The "Omnibus Exhibition" currently being held at the JOURNAL STANDARD Shibuya store is a lavish display of works by a variety of artists and photographers, using a large floor space. Some of them are releasing collaborative items and holding workshops. Not only seeing and feeling art, but also "owning" and "experiencing" art are also important elements that are connected to art.

Graffiti art that stimulates the senses by a remarkable creative group.

When you arrive at the store, the first thing you see is this window display! The first thing that catches your eye when you arrive at the store is this window display. The impactful graphic art was created by 81 BASTARDS, a creative collective of painters, filmmakers, photographers, DJs, and tattoo artists.

81 BASTARDS, composed mainly of members born in 1981, has been holding installations centering on live painting at various locations. The works exhibited in this exhibition were created over a two-day period, the day before and the day after the start of the event .

This time, graphics by MHAK, YOSHI47, SAND, and OT were layered on top of abstract "lines" drawn by Jun Inoue. Fuji, but the motif changed as the work progressed, and eventually a powerful bird, such as an eagle, was drawn. As you look at the work while picturing the live story of its creation in your mind, the depth of the work is enhanced and your senses are stimulated.

Surrealistic world view by model Ibuki Sakai .

First of all, I would like to introduce the work of Ibuki Sakai, who is also active as a model. At her booth, she sells stickers made with the label printer "TEPLA" and other slightly surreal (?) goods. sake wellAt first, I used bottle crowns to make things. I started making stickers using Tepla because I wanted to have something with my name on it, and now it has become a standard method of expression for me. Then I started making stickers printed with my collage works.

The items she creates are basically things that she herself "wants to use. The transparent vinyl bags created especially for this event seem to reflect this sentiment.

sake wellI have always loved to produce something. I have never thought about why. I have never really thought about it, but perhaps I make artwork to preserve the feelings and memories I have at the time. That is why I make everything by hand. I do my best not to entrust my work to a contractor. If I leave the work to others, I feel that my own consciousness may change, so in order to cherish the original feeling of "I want to make something! I try to do as much as possible with my own hands in order to cherish my original desire to create.

A variety of pop and cute plush toys that you can't help but want!

The many stuffed animals, handmade and sewn with felt, are the work of Yuri Hasegawa, an artist. The selection of motifs, such as musicians and movie characters that you may have seen somewhere before , is outstanding. The motifs are chosen in a way that makes you think, "I've seen that before!

HasegawaOnce I have decided on a character, I draw a picture of the character and then create a three-dimensional work of art. . I dare to draw only the eyes in the same way for each character. My favorites are the musician with the impressive sarouel pants and the hip-hop MC with the braided hair. I think I did a good job with these two (laughs).

Independent media that spotlights hidden champions.

HIDDEN CHAMPION is the only media outlet participating in this event. . It covers a wide range of culture, including music, art, fashion, extreme sports, and more. As the name "Hidden Champion" implies, the articles are about independent events that are far from the mainstream. Each issue is woven with unique articles that fascinate readers. Furthermore, it should be noted that this media is a free paper. It is distributed four times a year (spring, summer, fall, and winter) at clubs, record stores, cafes, bars, and clothing stores throughout Japan.

Bjork's photo T-shirt to wear to summer festivals.

Icelandic diva Bjork is scheduled to perform at this year's FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL. The photographs capturing her various expressions were taken by Kevin Cummins, a photographer from Manchester. He is well-known for his close contact with legendary bands such as Joy Division and New Order, and for his realistic portrayal of them.

."The "Delicious Vinyl" booth will display "classic" vinyl records that have been released to date. Visitors may want to look at the jackets and try to unravel the relationship between art and music.
