Car Service is often described as a "car product label.
Ito:We are a label that brings together members who love cars, and we organize events and make apparel. We hope that this label will help car enthusiasts enjoy their car life more and meet interesting friends. I hope to be able to act as a confluent agent to make the car scene more exciting.
You mentioned that you are a producer in your day job, so how is Car Service positioned?
Ito:To put it simply, it is completely a hobby. I think it would be boring if we turned it into a business, so all the other members are doing "car service" while doing their main jobs separately.
What made you fall in love with cars in the first place?
Ito:I was born in 1994, a time when Japanese manufacturers were at the top of the car industry. So when I became aware of it, there were car games and drifting DVDs by a guy named Drikin (Keiichi Tsuchiya) around me. My father knew many people who had interesting cars, so I naturally liked cars from an early age.
What is it about cars that you find so appealing?
Ito:I believe that the car is the most powerful content among human beings. There is the mechanic aspect of science, there is the cultural element, and there is the simple experience of driving. It is also convenient as a means of transportation. It is a vehicle that can be enjoyed from all angles, and for me, there is no way to avoid riding in one.
Have you changed your fashion since you started driving?
Ito:In the past, I used to be conscious of trends, but now I choose clothes that suit my car-oriented lifestyle. I do a lot of maintenance on my car, so I prefer clothes that can get dirty. I like workwear, of course, but I also like outdoor wear like the Grips Swanis I'm wearing today. They are made to be worn in nature, so they look cool even if they get dirty.

Ito:A girl friend of mine loves Grip Swanee long pants so much that she wears them whenever she goes out. When I saw that and thought it was cool, she told me that it was a brand called "Grip Swanee. So, in my mind, it's a cool brand that my cool friends wear.

Ito:I carry a lot of small things with me when I ride in a car or on a photo shoot, from keys to business cards, and these shorts have many pockets, so I think they will be useful in those situations. I also like that the camo pattern is illustrative and unique. I think these will fit in on the club floor or in the middle of the mountains.
Do you go to the mountains, Mr. Ito?
Ito:I have a friend who wears the "grip swanies" I mentioned earlier take me halfway (laughs). (Laughs.) For light summer hikes, it is better to go dressed as much as possible in the same clothes as usual, and my favorite clothes make me feel more excited. From that standpoint, I think Grip Swanny shorts are very attractive.
