-Do you still have a lot of luggage when you travel with your family?

Marie: It tends to be a lot. Especially in our house, we have a lot of clothes, so we try to compress them as much as possible. . We also have a lot of children's luggage, including changes of clothes for my son and daughter, milk and baby food for my daughter, and so on.

-Are you usually good at packing? And which is your packing?

Ryohei: I am a stylist by profession, and I quite like packing and dividing things into small portions.

Marie: We each prepare our own luggage. Since our children are still small, we often travel and return home by car, but we take several large bags with us style. My husband prepares the children's clothes, while I prepare diapers, skin care, medicine, and food around the house, etc. .

-What kind of family vacation did you envision packing for this time?

Marie: I envisioned a 3-day/2-night trip to a place with a swimming pool.

-Can you show us what's inside?

Marie: First of all, the clothes are divided between my clothes, my husband's clothes , the children's clothes, and the swimsuits for the whole family.

-Marie, what were the key points in your choice of clothing?

Marie: Since my children are still small, I tend to wear the same kind of coordination when traveling so that it is easy and dirt-free. However, we have carefully selected a variety of combinations that can be enjoyed depending on the mood or scene. . Sporty shorts with something sweet , for example. It's easy, but not too rough. . And I was conscious of creating a different tension every day. The cotton shorts are from the brand "map. . The rest of the items are mostly second-hand clothes.

-How about you, Ryohei?

Ryohei: I want to change as soon as I sweat, so I will pack a lot of 4 tank tops, like pack T's. . Other tops are two shirts and two T-shirts each. Bottoms are the same as my wife's, cotton shorts from "map." and linen camouflage pants. I don't want to feel the stress of running out of clothes while traveling, so I bring a lot.

Ryohei: . and personally, I like cases dedicated to hats, shoes, ties, etc. I find beauty in having them neatly stacked. In this case, I put my cap and sneakers in a special case.

I see that you have matching Nike T-shirts, but are you conscious of fashion links as a couple or as a family?

Marie: It's just by chance (laughs). ." Items from "map." come naturally to me because I need them. Also, both of us have a lot of vintage clothing, so I think we somehow end up looking alike.

Ryohei: This time, both my wife and I are wearing cotton shorts, but we are not consciously trying to make sure that we use the same items for both of us as a couple or as a family. I think it would be fine if the overall nuance of the family matches.

-Can you also provide details of your child's clothing?

Marie: My son needs 5 tank tops, 1 t-shirt , and 3 bottoms. My daughter needs 3 t-shirts, a camisole, a romper, a dress, 2 bloomers , and 5 or 6 more styles. And one hat each. They sweat a lot when they play and get dirty, so we bring a lot of changes of clothes anyway.

-What other items are included in addition to the clothes?

Marie: These include my children's skin care products, my makeup and skin care tools, charger area, my daughter's baby food and milk, medicines, etc. .

-Marie, do you take your regular skin care and cosmetics with you without refilling the travel bottles?

Marie: Yes . I want to use it to the fullest on my trip, and I don't want to think, "I made a mistake on the way here! . I will bring a new one with me.

-What do the Mizuno family often do for fun and for the purpose of travel?

Ryohei: I often decide where to travel within driving distance. That, and the fact that there are furniture stores or vintage clothing stores that I want to stop by, is one of the key factors in deciding where to travel. The other day, we went to a furniture shop in the mountains of Yatsugatake . Also, our parents live in Nagano and Shizuoka, and we always go home once a month. We often enjoy short trips back home while taking side trips. During the summer vacation, we stayed one night in Hakone and went straight home to Nagano.

-Have you ever used a Tumi suitcase or bag before?

Marie: This was the first time . It was large, so we were able to fit all of our family of four together. Especially for shoes, I usually try to coordinate with only one pair I am wearing, but even with one pair for each of my husband and I, we were able to fit in with plenty of room to spare. Having two pairs of shoes on a trip makes a huge difference in the coordination, so I'm glad.

Ryohei: Size 118L , excellent. It is large, but I like that it doesn't look so big at a glance.

Marie: And, it expands by 5 cm , right? I always have more luggage on the way back, so I thought this feature would be nice.

Ryohei: I always like to stop at thrift stores when I travel. I often buy used clothes to buy or as a reminder of my trip, so I appreciate the ability to expand.

-The exterior is made of several layers of a material called "Tegris," which is also used in fencing and football protective gear, so it is both light and extremely durable.

Marie: I see . When choosing a suitcase, durability is important. . When I go abroad, I get thrown around at the airport. They get beat up, and sometimes the locks are broken, but I thought this would be a safe choice.

Ryohei: Just by touching it, you can tell that it is sturdy. Also, the casters are smooth. They are strong against bumps and quiet.

-like both of you are fulfilling your requests.

Ryohei: I thought, "If I'm going to buy more, I'm going to buy another Tumi.

-By the way, what do you think of the color and design of the body?

Marie: I liked the fact that it was not just pitch black.

Ryohei: Understandable. I like the nuance of the weave that comes from the process of layering the material.

-Marie also used your backpack, how did you like this one?

VOYAGEUR "Ramsey" backpack ¥91,300

Marie: I usually have a mom bag , so this backpack is for carrying around. It's nice because I can put things in it that I can't get out quickly with a suitcase.

-Is it mainly your child's belongings?

Marie: . Water bottles, diapers and wipes , baby bottles and milk, baby food, etc. . . There are lots of pockets both inside and outside, which is very convenient. I like that you can take out the water bottle inside through the side zipper!

-Thank you very much! Now, finally, please tell us about the occasions you would like to use this suitcase, and what are your plans for your next trip?

Marie: I guess it is when I go back home once a month. Also, I am planning to visit Kisarazu with a friend and her family in November, so I would like to use it then. I have never been a suitcase person because I travel a lot by car, but I thought I should have a suitcase even for car trips.

Marie: With this much capacity, we can carry our family of four in one baggage, and we can organize our luggage as we go. My husband usually takes the luggage in and out of the car, but with this we only have to do it once.

Ryohei: The smooth-running wheels make it easy to travel on both bullet trains and airplanes. . When my child is older, I would like to try traveling in public transportation. I think a Tumi suitcase would be perfect for that.
