Patchwork shirts are made by cutting and pasting, cutting and pasting, and show the hard work of the makers. The reason you don't see many of these shirts these days is not because they are unpopular, but because of the time and effort required to make them.
Not seeing much means, on the other hand, that it's a good target. Isn't there something nice about this hip and hoppy look?
Instead of the flashy combination often seen in patchwork, the same colors are used to create a clean, neat look. The blackwatch pattern is also a nice touch. It's this kind of fine sense of detail that tickles me about the old "Gap," really.
