Following the first installment of "WEARY," in which 10 Tokyo-based artists were styled by domestic brands, this time Takahiro Shibata (I can't forget it.(See Section 2.1.2.),Keiichi Sogabe, ,CAR10, ,Gateballers, ,Typhoon Club, ,NOT WONK, ,MANGA SHOCKand others participated in the event.
The zine comes with a CD-R containing sound recordings by CAR10, MANGA SHOCK, Gateballers, and NOT WONK from among the musicians featured in the magazine, and a DVD-R containing the Typhoon Club short film "After the Festival" shot by Shuichi Banba, a video artist who has created famous music videos for such artists as Ringo Shiina and Kururi. The cover of the zine features a striking panel from Hideki Arai's manga "Miyamoto kara kimi e" that reads, "I want to make people who say otherwise approve of what I think is cool. For your information, it is available at COCONUTS DISK Ikebukuro store, Kichijoji store, and Tower Records limited stores.
To celebrate the release of the zine, an event will be held on May 12 (Sat) at WWW in Shibuya, featuring the participants of the zine, as well as music labels and stylists with whom Iriyama has worked closely. In addition, a limited number of "WEARY" and "From Miyamoto to You × WEARY" collaboration T-shirts will be on sale at the event.
This is the second volume of Iriyama's passionate work. Please check it out along with the event.
